As strikers we need them, as midfield or defence they're crap, we need a team, not a bunch of individuals but thank god for Jet and Sam, oh and the rest including Cotts...
Sam is alright when defending. Granted he doesn't put in those tackles that maynard did (and when nicky did they were pretty great) but he hangs around the front of the defence/midfield and he gives us the option to get it out quick. As for JET most people moan about him but when we need him at the back he puts his head in. you'd be surprised with the ammont of headers he wins when defending..... but you are right wiz, they aren't the best at getting back but they do, do their bit. WE NEED THEM!
That's one of my criticism of JET is that he wins loads in the air when defending, but going forward he likes doing these fancy back headers. Just think of how many goals he could scored trying to keep it simple and being in the box.
He is different Thats what makes him invaluable to us, and what Wenger saw in him first. If you just want a lump to head the ball into the goal, thats what we have Bartlett for
