Surely you're not comparing the two players ........ Colback won't go to a top 6 team, more likely Stoke or Newcastle. Is that progress?
Colback is probably the most versatile player we have and value for money. Not his fault that others seek his services and will offer the going rate; could be a measure of the club's ambition if they want to keep the most useful players. For me he has earned the right to a premier wage packet, but the threat of relegation seems to overshadow the negotiations. Could still be ours next season in the prem.
A big clear out is needed, keeps catts, wickham and Aj. If we could sign Alonso I would but the rest are either too expensive or not good enough.
