That would mean 7,000 going to corporate/staff/families etc ... surely unlikely? I'm sure there will be some for phase 3, ie the first bit of general sale, but yes suspect they will all be snapped up at that stage and little or nothing will be left for the unrestricted general sale.
I really hope you get here mate! But my point is I've had 4 seats since 2006 and my money has gone to the club! We've never had anything back!
OK, here's my quandry.... I bought two Semi-Final tickets under my Dad's Season Pass for myself and Step-Mum. Now as I have mentioned many times my Dad passed away at the start of the season - but I applied for the tickets with all his details on via the email form. So they were none the wiser. I very rarely buy tickets over the phone, normally online only. If I was to phone the ticket office on 24th April, (should I get chance during my day of house moving that is!) would they still agree to sell me the ticket if I explain the situation and provide my Dad's details? It's a weird situation tbh.
Can you not just be your dad on the phone? I remember your sad story mate and I'm sure he'd be more then happy with that! Good luck
I've booked my flight across for the final. I can't complain with the ticket allocation system, it's fair and you can't expect them to accommodate expats. I'll get a ticket though, one way or another. Anyone need a kidney?
My Uncle is a season ticket holder, he has been for five years, went to the Semi too. Thing is. he's a Chelsea fan, has been all his life, and all his tattoo's say so, my Mothers family were all born in Battersea and 7 are Chelsea and 1 Fulham. Now I've been City all my life but not been a season ticket holder for over 20 years since I went in the army and then life's taken me else where. I only make 10-15 games per year and many away from home. Of course he deserves a ticket more than me, putting far more money into to the club than I do, and I don't begrudge him as he's a top bloke but footballs a funny old game.........
I think less then 1000 will make general sale. I,m in the same position as Happy where I took the missus for the SF and although she would love to go back for the final she 100% agrees that pass holders should come before anyone else. She says it was a lovely bonus to have seen the semi final. She is still coming the final with me but gonna do a bit of shopping while i,m at the game, so god knows how much the final tallies going to be. Luckily I like beans on toast and could eat it every day for a month or two.
I think there will be around 3k tickets on general sale. The rugby has to play a part in the figures. I also think that of all of the stands the West Stand will be the least supported percentage wise.
You really have only two choices, apply as you did or dont apply, Personally if the season pass is in your Dads name the only person who could or should be upset is your step mum. Bollocks to the club and bollocks to anyone else who say's you shouldn't have a right to the ticket.
We have 18,000 season ticket holders. If EVERY season ticket took up their chance that leaves 7,000 for semi final ticket holders, I doubt they'll all go and I imagine 2,000 will make the general sale. The club haven't included any other ticket holders in the allocation e.g officials, corporates, players families etc.
Ok well that sounds quite hopeful then. Maybe I don't need to start queuing in the middle of the night after all. Cheers for the answers.
25,000 tickets, but the club have kept the top price tickets again probably around 3,000 for staff, sponsors, corporates, etc. That would leave 22,000. 18,000 will be sold to pass holders (any passholder not going will allow someone they know to use their ticket). That would leave 4,000 in phase 3 which will all be sold easily (probably around 10,000 non passholders at semi's). Therefore none left for general sale.
Your uncle should give you his ticket. He's Chelsea your Hull, and he's a top bloke, i reckon your in there mate
I'm not too far from Huntington Beach, I live in Whittier which is on the border of Los Angeles and Orange County. HB is decent, wouldn't mind living round there if the property prices weren't sky high!
I think around 4000 will be available for phase 3 with 12000? eligible to get them. Anyone who joins the queue after midnight will be struggling i reckon...
I'm not convinved you'll get many breaking out the sleeping bags for an overnighter. There'll be the usual special types getting themselves in the daily fail. I'd just get there nice and early. Maybe someone can post a queue watch thread on here to save people rolling up too early.
To be honest the two teams that are in the Final should be allocated at least 75000 of the tickets. There are 40000 going to to other clubs, sponsers and every other tom dick and harry and it would not surprise me if at least half of them end up either on ****ing ebay or in the hands of ticket touts.
