I don't find myself often emotionally invested in Toon games anymore. I mainly see Newcastle United as an intellectual challenge. Seeing the ****ty line ups every week, thinking how it could be improved, who should we buy, how should we approach each game etc.

We're a f**ked up club, but at least we're not boring.

I'm paying another 500 quid to go to 18 games next season again, and I am not emotionally invested in it, I'm just curious to see what happens.

Newcastle United is the most interesting club in the country, IMO. So much history, so many legends born in the area, I'm f**king pissed, and the bottle is empty.

Its killing me. It adds grey hairs. Plays with your heart strings. It affects my whole life. Thats what makes me realise my real wife is my football club.

    Aye, its mental.

To give an example, I was travelling in Spain in April 2008 when we beat the mackems 2-0 at our place (Owen scored twice). I couldn't get any information on the game until just after the final whistle when my mate contacted me to tell me the score. Delighted, I bounced around the car park of a service station I was in, pumping my fists and screaming my delight. God knows what everyone thought.

And I know you'll all understand this <we are all crazy>

I would define that as morbid curiosity... you know, like those who like to 'rubber-neck' at the scene of a road accident.
