Got this message off a colleague who was talking to a builder of some expensive houses in Durham

, just heard today from builder of them £1m homes at ramside that Bardsley had his name down for a house but after his back pass against hull which resulted in brown getting sent off, his new Sunderland contract was stopped and he has pulled out if the house. Apparently it's now a done deal for Bardsley and colback to go to mags

That would do me. It would be a clear sign of the Mags moving backwards to me.

Still, it would be funny if true, imagine the hilarity if they picked up Larsson too. :p

You know what though, if he was going to the Mags, then he'd still have bought the ****ing house.

    Simple as that.

Can't imagine why hed live near the Ramside in Durham if he was signing for Newcastle. Surely hed look for somewhere closer to Newcastle.

Half the Sunderland & Newcastle teams live in the Durham area mate, always have.

It's a myth that they all live at Darras Hall, there's only a couple of footballers actually live up there nowadays.

I just think that if he "did the dirty" he'd want to be as far away from Sunderland fans as possible.

<laugh> Wishful thinking here lads. The only player I'd consider signing is Johnson. Even then, he can be a bit hit and miss.

Today was an example of the good Colback. If he can play like that consistently he'll be a class addition for most prem teams

I would much prefer James Tavernier and young Jamie Sterry be brought through than to hand Phil Bardsley a contract.

As for Colback, not a bad player but as far as younger English central midfielders go, theres better.

So you think it would be a step forward?

I'm not bitter about turning you over three times on the trot, all bitterness has come from the Mag camp. <ok>;)

I can't see anything but a relegation scrap for Newcastle next seaaon. Take Cabaye and Remy out of the equation and they are dire as shown in their recent form.

I think there's more chance of the next tyne wear derby being in the championship than the premier league

I'd be sad to see them both go but it looks like the writing is on the wall.
