Why have Cardiff performed so badly this season?

If you turn the argument around its amazing how many points they have with all the distractions and fans divisions over shirt colours etc. what would they have done if they had a happy contented ship. 29 points with all that background noise is quite a feat really.

We better keep our nose ahead of both Cardiff and Fulham , all 3 of us have favorable games left but Fulham have less distractions , nervous as hell after last weekends games....

They struggle to keep up with us, even when we are having one of our worst seasons on record, bless them they do try.

In fairness Marshall and Caulker have been good for the other lot (based on the relatively few games I've seen).
The whole Cornelius business was bizarre - I guess the price tag and the pace of the Prem was too much for him but the losses they incurred just months later was laughable!

Anybody know why we didn't sign Caulker permanently? He would have been a great addition to the squad.

Well, after his successful loan spell at Swansea,I would be surprised if we weren't given the chance to sign him up permanently.
    However,he wasn't cheap,and I suspect that the fee,plus wages,would have been too prohibitive.
Cardiff were in dire need of some quality, and paid the price.

Maybe money worth spending given his performances and age - also can be funded by the huge new TV deal (provided we survive long enough to get it of course)

I think we can get better value than Caulker for the 8 million Cardiff played .

Caulker turned us down to play at Spurs. I don't think another offer was made as we'd bought Chico and Bartley was coming through.
Do we see his successes because he played for us because he doesn't seem to be getting great reviews other than for a few gaols and a handful of good performances.

I think Marshal would be the only one of their players that I'd happily see playing for us.

But the way things are set up I think they will be in the Prem next season.

Apart from pitching in with a couple of goals what else has Caulker done? They've leaked goals and Marshal has been the star player than has shown he's Premiership standard

I seem to remember him getting rave reviews early season, but then his star began to wane somewhat.

They are bottom three and their keeper has faced more shots on goal than any other for a reason. Not worth the money.

Apparently he liked a party when he was here.

If it wasn't for Marshall, they would have been relegated by now.
