Surely that is how many we are going to need in the summer! 8 or 9 out of contract, 5 on loan and you could put a good case forward that 9 or 10 wnt be here next year!

Said it before but this summer is huge and we have got to make the most out of this forth coming season and the summer is absolutely massive in determining how that goes. One thing that is for certain is we need to install pace and power into our squad. We need a few athletes and a goalscorer!

As for who I would have a look at these IF I was Gus

Oscar Ustari - sign to a new contract
    Sam Byram - Leeds
Marcos Alonso - Fiorentina (swap deal with Diakite)
    Diego Poyet - Charlton
    Henri Lansbury - Nottingham Forest
    Royston Drenthe - Reading
    Will Buckley - Brighton
    Nathan Redmond - Norwich
    Nakhi Wells - Huddersfield
    Ross McCormack - Leeds
    Beram Kayal - Celtic
    John Souttar - Dundee United
    Leonardo Ulloa - Brighton

    Mannone
    ????? - ????? - Roberge - ?????
    Bridcutt
    ????? - ?????
    ????? - Wickham - ?????

other current squad - Ba, Mavrias, Watmore, Moberg-Karlsson

as for the rest god knows which ones will be here and which wont

Quite happy with them transfer targets if we go down mind!
Cant imagine getting Souttar/Redmond as Souttar has apparently turned us down and Redmond is going to be big for Norwich imo

You're forgetting players like Egan, Honeyman, Laing, Pickford, Watson, Gorrin, Knott, Agnew and Mandron, who although won't be the first names on the team sheet will ad some depth and promising options for the first team squad.

It by no means solves the problem but will help reduce the amount of signings needed as we need a new squad not just a team

Surprised with Laing like, sounds like Gus' sort of player. A CB who likes to play the ball out. Wonder if relegation might change things.

So much for the AoL set up then. Will have cost multi thousands to develop and pay these lads for no return. Just does not add up.

Might not add up now, but we'll get one every 5 years or so (Hendo) who will make us £15m and pay for the AoL to continue as it is. Even Waghorn got us £3m.

If (!) we go down I'm personally looking forward to Ba, Mavrias, Karlsson and Whatmore.

I noticed the likes of him, Liam Ridgewell and Steve Sidwell are all out of contract.

looks an alright player but never thought WOW when I have watched him, one of those when wouldn't be to bothered if we signed him or if we didn't

Yes he did, The Wellington Phoenix & we don't need him, we've got enough crap already...lol .....from Ernie Merrick the Coach..."“I’ve watched his coaching videos, which Sunderland were kind enough to share with us, and was impressed. I also like it when a coach recommends a player rather than an agent".

Thats tells you how good they using video I kid you not. http://www.footballaustralia.com.au...k-adds-more-spanish-flavour-to-midfield/89911
