At present last train back at 8pm means its a no go...got a email back off them this morning saying

" have forwarded your email on to our travel team and they will be in touch by the end of this week with final details. We are looking at putting on extra trains for the day. "

Anyone know anything else or chances of them putting something more suitable on?

I reckon there is a chance that they may put a couple of later trains on Newland. Whilst the evening schedule is quite busy on East Coast, they do start winding down in the evening and it may be possible that they will try and accommodate it.

It would be win win for them to put an extra train on really. Good publicity, can pick up a few extra customers from the region and most of all they will make a profit from the train. Seems daft if they didn't do it really

Someone had a good on idea on here yesterday (Can't remember who) But if you can drive to Donny and leave your car there, the last train back is much later.

I've just had that point made to me on Twitter, apparently the multi storey at Frenchgate next door has loads of spaces and is pretty cheap.

    Pretend I never said anything.

Strange question but is anyone going down on the train from Manchester? I'm over there for a few days but will be leaving for the final (obviously!) - would be good to travel with some other City fans!

If you're near a radio, East Coast Trains are going to be on Radio Humberside at about 5.15pm with some info of some sort.

Local Train operators are supposed to be looking into it with a 9pm departure from King's Cross.
