I must also add that when you have players telling the manager how to manage its only going to end one way..a disaster . We also have a chairman as a director of football and he also has his opinions that just equals one big mess.

I guess they took away the Frosties & Rice Krispies as well as the Coco Pops.

In all seriousness it would appear we're both becoming a bit of a joke for the daily fail.

Was wondering if anyone else remembers an article ( I think 3 or 4 days ago ) about Monk complaining about leaks of bust ups and such to the media and wasn't wondering if that article was after this recent bustup , anybody ?

I'm not blaming the board directly for that but they are presiding over so many bizarre situations we are becoming a laughing stock.

I'm amazed so many are taking the report as gospel - well maybe not!

If things are so bad disciplinary action would have been taken.

Highly paid players brought in this season? Bony I can believe but who else would come into that category that is not supporting the cause? Vazquez? Pozuello? Come on people.
I'd be surprised if there were no arguments and the pressure they are all under to avoid relegation, but please a war zone!

If anyone is undermining the club at this stage they need to be shown the door and if that means we have to play youth players - so be it.

    What a ****ing sorry mess.

Unprofessional players getting above their station...what do we do?
Back them and make one of the ringleaders the manager.

The lack of professionalism displayed by Monk under Sousa should have been a clue. Now it's an absolute ****ing free for all.
Subbing on his mates who shouldn't be near the team....alienating some young Spanish lads who actually possess some talent...fights....picking a match day squad based on who is getting on with who this week...the occasional dig in the media aimed at Laudrup regarding training and 'problems' he inherited (Monk, if you're reading, you are responsible...this is what you wanted....carry the weight son).....appalling tactical decisions in game

...and for all you Monk "fan boys" out there....Monk's results are worse than Laudrup's we are disappearing down the swanee with zero leadership and a **** load of angry professionals who'll want to leave ASAP.

We've gone from being the most stable well run club in the football league to a complete ****ing shambles in 1 season. Starting with blokes who are supposed to be running a football club listening to a handful of dip **** footballers who think they are better than they are. ****ing criminal. I'm ****ing angry about this now.

I agree. There may have been issues and ML did continue to pick a few players even after poor performances but we were plagued with injuries. I was always concerned that Monk would struggle to unite the squad and think was one the senior players complaining.

Whether in the championship or premiership we cannot afford to re-build completely. Somehow we will need to persuade some players to stay but I fear players will want out. I suspect Michu and Bony will both be keen to go.. the squad could crumble after 10 years of progressive.

Monk is not ready...against Chelsea, 10 men on the pitch and doesn't use all subs until last 10 minutes. We were doing ok holding onto the ball and trying to reasonably positive and then after half we sit back and invite pressure. We are not West Ham.

I just hope the issues are exaggerated and we stay up but the Board need to have a think about their role in this mess.

Its limp over the line by hook or by crook time isnt it ? when the season is over will our board look at things objectively or not ? that is the question ,all of a sudden there is deathly sillence coming from the liberty, no articles from jenkins saying that Monk needs to be competing against the big sides or nothing..

Norway J think he used his first sub after 17 minutes. Who in recent years has agitated for a move. Pratley De Vries Sinclair Graham. Hmm be careful what you wish for. Most players actually like it here. The community embraces them and the much maligned board pays their wages regularly and on time. Monk has been given a poison chalice because ML had brewed the draught.

Jackcwm its not a Laudrup v Monk thing though is it ? its how the club is being managed at the higher level that has let this whole situation get to this point, at an executive level who was banging heads together and sorting the situation out and letting it not run out of control ?

If things were unworkable they needed to get rid in the summer or sort out the problems ,they did neither and just let the situation get progressively worse, im not saying anyone is perfect here, laudrup included but i am saying that peolpe that run our club are getting payed good money to act in a professional manner but they are not fulfiling their side of things.

Its the classic snow ball effect, the board are responsible for that, they have failed to manage .

Norway that's a a good argument, very well made. The lack of communication between the board and Manager is baffling to say the least. A coherent explanation of ML's dismissal should have been forthcoming. I have a little insight into their concerns and his "hands OFF style" but in reality he should have been brought to book before a dismissal. I think he rather slept walked into a sacking scenario. Amazing really as apparently loved it here?

Pretty sure Monk tried to put a muzzle on media and onlookers through an interview after the event. Also , Monk doesnt want any help running the goings on with the team cause it would put on the appearance of failure ........lol ... ill just leave it at that

I and others quoted when we bought bony for £12 million that it would be the end of our well run club and will cause problems as his wages will not be just a little bit more than the rest but a lot more than the rest and that is the one thing that causes friction in the club. Jenkins should have stuck to his principals with laudrup but he was made out as the bad guy. Well Jenkins was right as you cant start paying players huge sums of money more than the rest. you need to keep wages on an even keel or you are asking for trouble. some of us did warn and agreed with jenkins at the time that this would happen. Laudrup has totally messed the club up big time and now monk has to sort it out. Jenkins will start to get the high earners like bony out of the club and bring the club back into line and put our wages policy back to what it was before that muppet laudrup ruined it...
