I think you'd be hard pressed to find an arsenal fan who would swap theo for sterling. That's generally the way with fans and there own players though!

I'm not a Theo fan but Arsenal are desperately missing his pace and directness.

Sterling is better in the role we need him to play than Walcott would be. I think Theo is better at what arsenal require of him than Raheem would be.

    Understandable.
At the beginning of the season I'd have swapped, but Sterling really has shown phenomenal improvement since November-ish and I'm looking forward to seeing just how far he can take it.

Could become world class IMO - I know it's a bold statement but he's one of those players that if you take away his pace, he will still cause problems and be an effective player. His game intelligence, ability to shield the ball, work hard off it is top class and he's only 19.

Rodgers said Sterling is the best winger in the league!

    Sure is right!

I've always liked Walcott. Thought he could do well with the right manager guiding him.

Same with a lot of young British players - coached poorly, taught to use their pace and nothing else.

On current form (well, one's injured anyway!) Sterling is one of the best players in the league imo. Devastating form and not just talking about his goals or assists; just his overall contribution. Wouldn't swap him for any winger in the PL right now. Walcott is so much better than he was a few years ago though, he's matured well and I'd love to have him in the squad too. He'd link up well with our other choices, I think.

    Would he be cheap? Unlikely.
Would Arsenal sell to us? Unlikely.

All said and done though, why would a player want to stay at Arsenal right now? Manager isn't even unanimously favoured like he was, constantly bottling any chance of a medal or trophy (lost count of the years now), big players always leaving...in a season of so much change at the other clubs, this was Arsenal's season to shine and push on. Did they? Well, for 3 months they did...

I like Arsenal, but **** me, they've done it again this year and might not even make their usual fourth!

Whilst pace is walcotts obvious strength (the same can be said about a lot of top wing forwards) he has become much more than that over the last couple of seasons. His finishing and composure are very impressive these days and he is very effective with the ball making goals for our cf whenever he plays.

His close control and decision making have improved a lot and now when he has the ball us arsenal fans expect him to do the right thing rather than panic and make the wrong choice.

He had his flaws but has turned into a very good player.

Come on guys, Walcott is a fantastic player and probably Arsenal best player if hes 100% fit.

If theres 1 player I could take from Arsenal it would be 1 of they CBs.

    Two very obvious points:

We have Sterling and therefore don't NEED Walcott.

Walcott has a history of long term injuries

So it's not really a starter - even if he wanted to leave Arsenal

  14. One player? I'd take Gibbs since we could do with competition for Enrique at LB.

We can might be able to pick at their carcass if they fail to make CL and Wenger goes.

Ramsey would be the only Arsenal player I'd desperately want. He's like a high quality version of Henderson & he'd be a natural replacement for the old Gerrard.

Walcott is grossly over-hyped and over-rated.

Walcott had looked like a top player was when he wanted a new contract, after he got it went completely off the boil.

Frankly that was the only time he'd had long enough run of game to look good, most of the time he gets injured when Arsenal need him the most. Never really in the team for long enough to be the player Arsenal claim he could be or is.

Consistency and being able to play the majority of a season is important. Walcott could be a very good player if only he wasn't always injured, but that could be said for just about all of Arsenals best players over recent years.
