Huddlestone Meyler Livermore Also, Elmo was definitely at fault for the second, dicking about doing a **** flick with bags of time.
1/ Meyler. Obviously 2/ Huddlestone. Obviously 3/ Curtis Davies. Not only for another superb performance, but for that half time roasting he gave his team mates. Sone Aluko,Matty Fryatt...you lot,****ing everyone.... cept Patty obviously
We shipped three goals so nobody from the defence. Surprised to see so many choose Davies or Chester. 1. Livermore - Set our first two up and made sure we weren't out of it by the second half. His passing was exquisite and it was his best game for us so far. 2. Meyler - Just kept on pushing and had a consistent game capped with a tidy finish. 3. Huddlestone - Dominating performance in the second half and a quality goal.
Huddlestone Aluko Quinn (he should be playing more) Honourable mention to the rest of the players (except Figueroa)
First time Davies didn't have a good match, but he put his hands up at halt time & full time & said he was culpable. I admire that. As much as i like Koren, he wouldn't have done what Davies did at half time (or at least was reported to have done). Got to hand it to the midfield for stepping up and getting us out the mess. My MOTM 1- Huddlestone- Poor first half, but came out and bossed it after the break. Great goal. 2- Meyler- Good running off the ball. Got better as the match went on. Closed the match out with a decent finish at the death. 3-Aluko- his turn and run was class. Deserved so much more. Well played to Matty Fryatt. I like the effort he puts in. I hope he gets an appearance in the final.
I disagree about Davies - I thought he played very well again. Looking at their three goals, I can't see any fault on his part at all (Boyd, Chester and Rosenior all share some blame.) Still, he just misses out on my top three: Livermore Meyler Huddlestone
The 3 central midfielders were all so good int he second half I find it impossible to pick which one of them was the best, never mind shoving anyone else in there.
They had to be cos they were oh so **** in the first half. Games are won and lost in the centre of midfield. I went mental when Livermore bottled out of a 50/50 in the first half. got to be on it for ninety minutes against the Arse.
Late contribution this - it's taken all this time to get the computer off my daughter! It's nice for this task to be so hard, especially when our first half was as poor as our second half was good. Nonetheless - 1. Huddlestone 2. Meyler 3. Fryatt
They had to be given the first half. Young Chester played well overall, but again at fault for a simple first goal by SU, the ball from the cross was there to be won! That said Figgy and Boydy at fault for the cross coming into the box in the first place. Ironic that the throw in in my opinion was City's and not SU anyway; the incident was right in front of me in block 119.
Anyone else think he scored an own goal? The Sheff Utd player only seemed to get a glance on it that was nowhere near enough to direct it goalwards.
Oh dear some people are never happy unless they are criticising someone .maybe we should just enjoy things instead of moaning eh
