Most of the Blunts I saw all day will probably not remember much the day anyway. The vast majority were three sheets and beyond....
Maybe now some of the younger happy clapper fans understand why SUFC are loathed by some of the more senior ones on here. Bullying cowardly attacks their speciality.
Obviously they are two different things but you only get put in cuffs if you have been arrested. You may get arrested but not put in cuffs. They may still not be charged.
We got bus from Ealing at 10.30, about 12 utd fans got on, about 19-20 year olds, all been drinking and all mouthing off. After the game to get back to our bus stop we exited on the steps where utd fans were mostly leaving and it was a throwback to 30-40 years ago. Felt very intimidated, no police presence, idiots mouthing off to wife and daughter. Was almost expecting a kick or punch. Very bad losers.
As we were walking back to Wembley Central station there was a group passing on a bus that gave me a load of ****er signs whilst shouting abuse and mouthing off. I was with my Step-Mum who fortunately did not notice and I just blanked them completely to keep it that way. And then another group at the station who were again shouting abuse and amongst the most revolting, obnoxious 'people' I've ever seen - thankfully on the opposite platform to us. As I've mentioned though, we did then meet a decent few fans of theirs on the way back to Euston. Had a good chat and a beer or two with them, before catching the train back to Manchester.
I thought these were the kind of scenarios you thrived on and the kind of fans you admired? Make your mind up.
We went to/from Stanmore. Got the sense that they would have been no different had they won or lost. They are a different breed of fan, most being 16-50 and male. Saw very few kids/ women. Whereas ours are of a more mixed variety. Saw a lot of goading but didn't see anything other than verbals.
When we won there, some of their older fans actually sought us out after the game to shake our hands and say 'Well played.' Unprecedented. Another surreal twist to what was already an unreal day.
Walking along Wembley Way at 2pm was a little hairy at times. There seemed to be loads of fans from both camps who were paralytic with several openly drinking from cans right in front of the Old Bill. What did the Old Bill do?...Bugger all. Not surprised that there was some trouble afterward, though the majority of Sheff fans I came across seemed okay, with some wishing us good luck for the final. I tried to have a laugh with the bloke from the Chase before the game, who quite frankly seemed to be up his own rather large arse.
It's not as easy now they moved Lady Santana on though. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Dominatrix-Lady-Santana-distraught-boarded/story-20952298-detail/story.html
