Anyone else witness us getting attacked by Sheffield United fans outside of Wembley Park Tube Station? Was walking along minding my own business when two Sheffield United fans threw beer in my face. Turned around and there was 6 or 7 of them laying into my friends dad who is about 65. I went back over to try and get people off him - didn't run over or raise my hands as didn't want to appear aggressive, and got punched in the back of the head a few times for my troubles. The Police then came over and pulled the culprits to one side but told us that to charge them we would have to go back to the station to leave statements and potentially have to come back down to London for court appearances so we just left it and wanted to get home! A fantastic day spoilt by some mindless idiots!!
If two coppers witnessed it, that's enough for them to be charged. Lazy policing I'm afraid and the culprits should all spend time in jail for their crime as its a set punishment for football violence. There's absolutely no excuse for such primitive behaviour and it's scumbag ****s like these that keep holding the game and it's supporters back with all the ridiculous restrictive laws on football fans. I found there to be a lot of very bitter ****s from Sheffield after the game, proper sore losers.
Was just behind me. Didn't realise what had happened. It was all fairly well natured but it was obvious all along Wembley way that that group was after trouble.
Said they couldn't do anything without a statement as they couldn't see clearly what had happened. I think they were taking the lad that hit me to give him a fine of some sort. At least he didn't get away it completely. My mates dad was ok just had a cut on his nose.
All the Sheff Utd fans I met and/or talked to seemed good lads/lasses (one of them was that ****ing giant bloke off of The Chase, if anyone knows who he is). But there's always a few ****ing idiots.
Yes I saw the giant chaser after the game, almost walked right into him in fact. I thought he just looked like a big fat blob on telly, but when you actually see the bloke in person, christ he's a ****ing man mountain. About 10 feet tall and built like a brick ****house.
I have always thought they were scum, public enemy number one and all that. Glad we beat them and hope their hooligans get what they deserve
Yes I saw it if it was the same incident, one was black and one a white guy, I just saw the police handcuff them, but what happened after that I don't know. Mindless idiots.
There was a proper set of twattish Sheff Utd fans on one carriage on the train we took from Euston to Wembley Central. So much so that even a couple of other Sheff Utd fans came and joined us and other City fans to keep away from them. Post-match was fine though. Good chat to a few of them on the way back to Euston and had a couple of beers outside Euston with a really decent Sheff Utd fan whilst waiting for the train. I really hope your day was not completely ruined by that incident.
Some Sheff fans tried climbing over the barriers used to separate the fans in the stadium. Granted we have some idiots on display but there were a large amount of them wearing Red and White yesterday. Clearly there for a piss up and not football
If they were cuffed they were arrested and will get their comeuppance. Time in jail, a nice fine and stripped of the priviledge to attend football matches in the future. Less than they deserve. They should become test subjects for new medicines and medical procedures, the only way they'll give something productive and worthwhile to society.
Always been great animosity between us and the blades, worst then Wednesday, often been hunted, bricked, legged by them home and away. Kept away from the pigs yesterday and just enjoyed crystal club etc. Good numbers though, lesson to learn AA, build up your core support instead of mucking about with Egypt and China and we can be the biggest club in Yorkshire.
Just seen this from a Blades fan on the thread already linked to in our "Ultra Annoying Fans" thread:- "was also in block 140. saw everything thats already been said, but a very moving moment for me was when we were all leaving and a little lad said to his dad "daddy are we ok to leave, or are they still fighting". The lad was all of 5 or 6. Shamefull. However, if i thought i'd seen it all in 140, more was to come. As my coach was crawling through Wembley we all witnessed a united fan smash a bottle over a Hull's fans head - which then resulted in a mass free for all in the middle of the road. A young lass sat behind me said "so this is what it was like in the 70's" Every team has a kn0b head element and were no different." Did anyone witness this incident? ****ing disgraceful if true.
Being put in cuffs and being arrested are two totally different things. Just because they where put in cuffs does not mean that they where definitely arrested. Sounds like scum who deserved to be however! You won't get that sort of nonsense from the arsenal fans in the final
