The Suarez foul/dive is a matter of opinion but the Chelsea thing isn't. Even if they win all remaining four games, Man City could finish a point ahead of them so its not in Chelsea's hands.
You might be pissed but don't be silly. We are ahead of them. If we keep winning it's not in their hands. City have games in hand and if they keep winning they end up with more points. So Chelsea can only win IF we or City don't win. Hence it is NOT in Chelsea's hands.
He did get a touch on the ball - unfortunately on the top of it whilst he made crunching contact on the top of Nasri's shin. They may as well appeal, but it was a clear sending-off and a wild, uncontrolled lunge that could have seriously injured Nasri. And just because Moses lost the ball didn't mean it was his fault. We'll really miss him now, and apart from Chelsea the Norwich and Palace games will be hard too. Even the Newcastle game will be excruciating if we need to win, and let's assume we will. Totally unnecessary.
Yes I think it can as well - though I think the extra discretionary sanction is there to stop gratuitous appeals and with the replay showing a definite touch on the top of the ball albeit with Hendo's heel, which then means his foot with studs showing bounces up off the ball into Nasri's shin, BR is thinking that it is not gratuitous to ask the question if the touch on the ball should be considered in mitigation. Still can't see it myself with the way these things are usually called and to be fair we are not to know how many broken legs have been prevented over the years thanks to the strict enforcement of the studs showing/off the ground/out of control rule, probably a few.
TBF Henderson has been a rock this season, just what we needed when Lucas has been out for a long time. In the last couple of games his level has dropped slightly and Gerrard has become more pivotal in the midfield. I actually think Allen gives us more control in the midfield as he can hold up the ball, but less of a box to box type like henderson. IMO we need to start slowing it down a tad anyway, Studge/Suarez have been off for a few games because we are trying to do everything too quickly and both look a little headless and less composed on the ball than 5 games or so ago. The turning point for me in todays games was Toure's injury, once he went off they closed us down much better in the central midfield and took control of the game. I also think taking off Dzeko was a bad move we seemed to be more settled in defence against Agero. We look very dangerous on the attack and if we had just taken a bit more time in the final 3rd we could have had 2 or 3 more, but we rode are luck and maybe some decisions that went our way make up for those at City.
hopefully he will put in how quickly he got up, i know it was a silly challenge but that does my fecking head in when players do that, isnt that another attempt at influencing the ref.
Clattenburg will be kind, he's in our pocket As for tobes.... I told you who has to be right, just ignore it cos until lfC fail he's going to be like this and them he'll crow. If we do win it he'd have been better off hanging about with the mancs and skis playing the we hate lfc game and complaining about our cheating yet all the while the filth on those pages look down their noses at all things scouse
As for the even decisions, lets not forget about Sahko's wild lunge at the ball that nearly took dzeko out. That should have been a pen, especially if dzeko went down earlier rather than his poor attempt to hurdle sahko then fall under contact. Even saint Carragher thought it was a peno
we got shafted in the first game so i have no sympathy, yes we had decisions go our way, but makes a fecking change with the ****e we have had from the officials, should have had a pen ourselves, also demichelles or whatever he is called should have been booked for waving imaginary cards around, or is it only acceptable when we are on the end of it!
It was a red. That's more diving than I've seen from Suarez in some ****ing time. However, we should have had a pen with one of them at least. As has been said, we got shafted on decisions at the Etihad.
I probably would have given a yellow for that, if nothing else than consistency- there had been a couple worse challenges during the game that got yellow, or nothing. However, I'm not going to complain- we had the luck of the referee on more than our share of calls. Suarez could have been sent off with a second yellow on a couple of occassions. I think City had 1½ penalty calls that could have gone their way... and I think in general we were better treated by the ref. Missing Hendo is a big blow- but Allen has done really well in the latter part of the season. AND... we have Lucas back. We have cover.
I hope that's a joke. What we want is unbiased reffing where there's nothing underhand and no bribes or favouritism.
