QPR fan in peace. Heard the Chelsea fans singing during the min silence at Swansea today. Hate this. Hate them. Respect on the win today. Wish we could have held on to Sterling. From our 'hood' - good to see the lad doing well. Please beat the scum at your place.
All fans have their idiots... we have plenty as well. Think should focus on the 99.9% of fans across all of football that have shown their respect and not those few idiots that haven't.
Same in most grounds throughout the country. No one would have dared do anything at Anfield today, they'd be banned for life. But we have idiotic fans in other ways as well. Just don't think should go around all holy than thou. don't give the idiots the attention they seek
Like owners start to look like their dogs, then the chavs are just resembling their manager. Classless **** who thinks the world should revolve around him. What's with the no hand shake today.....classless. Rather be mid table team then ever have him as our manager !
Personally today for me is about thanking all the other clubs and their supporters for commemorating Hillsborough with us. 9/10 clubs did something for us and 99% of fans at every match were respectful. We have had loads of opposition supporters come on here and leave messages of support - its gestures like that that show their class and prove that football isn't above basic human decency. So above all thank you to everyone that understood what today was about. As for Chelsea, a vast majority of their supporters stood in silence. They deserve our thanks too. Its a shame that a handful of their fans always let them down though. At the end of the day it's only their own clubs reputation that they hurt.
We know its not all, just a shame you guys have a section that so predictable when it comes to these things.
**** 'em. A lifetime supporting their ****ty fake ass money grubbing 'team' is worse than any eternity in hell.
Hillsborough isn't a club issue and never has been for me. It is and always was, a disaster that befell football. It could have been us if not for the toss of a coin. It's therefore an issue that should unite football as a family and not just the city that it affected. In recent years, that's fortunately become the case, as the truth has become widespread post the inquiry, but sad to hear that there's still a small minority that confuse a disaster with club loyalties, for shame.
Well said Tobes. In the end you go to watch the footy for entertainment, for a good day out and on that day those supporters got death and destruction instead. Obviously nobody should have to suffer that just for watching a game, whatever sport it is, whatever city it is, whatever country it is.
I remember it like it was yesterday mate and the aftermath A lad I knew was one of the victims, not a mate, but a friend of a friend. He was 3 years older than me and lived a few streets away. He ended up in a vegetive state and sadly died months after that fateful day. It was never an LFC issue for me mate
