I'd get more work done, although I have tried to wean myself off it a little since the heady days of the Summer Transfer Thread.
This is getting ridiculous! Although heads up next season I may be going back to non-season ticket holder status again, the amount of games I have missed this season has been depressing at times.
I'm the blonde boy in the Kingsland who sits next to the man who shouts at every decision, even when we're 3-0 up, and stands up and blocks my view whenever we enter the final 3rd (my dad).
Cannot even be mentioned in the same breath as the Saint Gaston thread...people will tell their grandchildren about that.
And the final results are in [belatedly, as my Mum is unwell]. In a reassuring 1st place, you'd Scream NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..!, which obviously means that this is your life and the owner, administrators and moderators can all feel that their own empty lives are now of some small worth, for providing such a service. In 2nd place, the more balanced fan, and perhaps more modern fan has opted for the - Hmm, that's a little disappointing. Oh well choice. Proving that they are well rounded and not dependant upon a thrall of other individuals, who they have no idea about, to get their kicks with. They are not even aware that it is merely 10 other people, beavering away at the other end, posting and behaving as 5000. Neither do they care. They can move on to greener pastures slickly and swiftly. In 3rd we have the - Aww, really..? Time to get a life again committed fans who don't want to appear as NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO screamers, but faced with the prospect of the emptiness of no Not606, have stared into the chasm and just caught themselves in time before they embarrass themselves and burst into tears in front of company. That's if they've actually had any. So there we are. It's official. Not606 is pretty damn important, especially may I say Southampton Not606. The Bunch of Happy-Clappers. Glad to see the back of it wind up merchants can hang heads in shame for not taking the poll seriously enough, and the Meh, Saints Web is better anyhow people know what they can do. Interesting that nobody chose the Never mind, I can just email them... Oh.! because you can't and for the vast majority of you [us 10 remember..?] unless you exchange email addresses you'll lose your best mates forever..! And that might be as bad as losing Not606. Thanks for taking part.
Should we all adopt alter egos...just to make it look like there are more than just us precious few. I fancy being a tattooed teenager called Dwayne (SaintDwayne17) who only uses text-speak or an IT guy (SaintGeeko) who strangely can't post links but can use very limited smilies. P.s. Hope your Mum is feeling better.
She's got a chest infection, Fran. They took her into hospital overnight, and she'll be there until they get rid of it completely. She looked so uncomfortable and weak yesterday that I was relieved when they took her in. We'd got the Doctor to her for antibiotics, but it was thought best that she went in. Hopefully, her infection will clear up soon and her cheerful demeanour will return. Thanks for the kind thoughts.
Kind of on this topic, a friend has contacted me as his not606 app has disappeared from his iPhone and he doesn't know how to get it back. Apparently, after a bit of net surfing, he's not the only one.... But it's been so long since I installed, I can't even remember if it's an app, or a home screen shortcut...? A search of the App Store reveals nothing under not606. He is starting to have withdrawal symptoms, is downloading other inferior apps, and is missing all the fun of the fair!! Can anyone enlighten me so it can bring him back into the fold...?
Like FLT, I often use the full PC desktop version of Not606 when accessing the site on my phone, but the Android and iPhone App is still around. Either go here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vbulletin.build_613 on your phone, if you can, or just type Not606 app into Google. It might help to put either Android or iPhone into the enquiry aswell. If you have any difficulty at all getting to it, give me a PM and I'll send you a mobile phone link instead.
She's 99, FLT. And upto about 6 weeks ago, when she decided not to get out of bed one day, she was hail and hearty. Well, she's not so good, Chilco. I have been preparing myself for this since Mum's twin sister died a couple of years ago. I was speaking to Mum the other day, while she was still at home in bed, and she was telling me about the people who were in the room and did I know them. She has also begun to slur her words occasionally, and these are clear signs. All of our family are pretty long lived on both sides. My Dad died in his bed, and my Mum's twin, both with exactly the same classic symptoms. Their bodies just start to close down and at their long ages it's unfair to retrieve them. They've done enough and seen enough. I have long realised that we would only be doing it for our sakes, not theirs, so we'll let Mum go when it happens. It's quite peaceful for them and they are not frightened by it, as far as I can tell, and I can only hope it's the same for her. Thanks for the kind thoughts, Pepys. I'll keep you all posted.
Seeing people is a common side effect of renal problems and dehydration. There comes point when it is kinder to not fight the inevitable. All the best to you TSS and your family.
