Okay...we are in to crunch time now.
We are probably going to make the playoffs....and although we all know that is not due to our devastating football built on verve and panache, but more due to some fortune, some grounding out of results, and there being loads of other mediocre to good teams taking points of each other. We have had a bad share of injuries, and a bit of mismanagement...but Arry is here till the end...get behind him

Get behind the team...we need some form going into the playoffs
We need players to believe, they will believe if we believe.
They need form.....what we do not want to do is make a disgrace of ourselves in the playoffs

    So starting here right now

Joey is back, Danny Simpson is back, Jenas is coming back...Charlie will play a bigger and bigger part

Five games to get some form....come on u RRRS

Good post. All will be forgotten if we can get it together in the play-offs and get promoted.

Beth, You are absolutley correct in your thoughts and approach. I certainly hope that is exactly what Harry and the coaching staff are saying and more importantly doing.

However, I was "hoping" that we would be building momentum and confidence, whlist the last few matches seem to be doing the converse.

Of course one can say that the play off's are in reality a seperate "Cup Competion". True, but our cup track record, compared to the likes of potential competion from say Wigan, does not inspire.

    Still, there is always "hope".

I admire all your positive comments. I personally have had enough of HR and his piss poor management. I would be positive if he was, lets see on Saturday when we are playing the only team below us on current form and low on confidence if we attack from the start, get a goal up and win the game in the first half?!! No he wont and never does because he cant manage, diversify is inflexible and picks a team that isnt mobile in most positions. Do you all really want him managing us in the premiership next year?

No I don't want him managing us in the premiership. But I also do not want to be embarrassed by my team (I have been too many times before)
This maybe the best/only chance we get for years
It is not our God-given right to be challenging for promotion you know...and this time next year, who know what we will be doing....The only thing we can effect is the team now, and so the playoffs this year
    Lets do it

Sorry Beth, but lost all interest in being positive, and cant be arsed to be negative either.
    What will be will be.

If we go up in the playoffs I can only imagine another season of top tier chaos and carnage as we begin another "rebuilding" exercise with another manager, another set of coaches and another set of players (largely).

If going up avoids the purported £60m+ FFP penalty and instead brings us additional Sky Premier League status funding then I suppose finally for the LTD Company off the pitch then it is probably better we get promoted.

In the meantime, these last three months I have missed at least one home game per month, not out of choice but out of work or family commitments and I wont be at the Forest game this weekend either because of work, but what is more concerning is that I am not that bothered about missing them and I was never like that before.

it doesnt matter what we do, the fans have given up judging by the reports of the last game. Not a single song and they said it was the worst atmosphere ever.

I had a conversation with my young son recently that you support your team through thick and thin. Many of his friends keep changing the teams they support depending on who's doing well that season. I told him that's the lowest thing anyone could ever do and is just not done. He loves QPR and will be a lifelong fan. I did make him a promise and a guarantee - supporting QPR will never be boring!

Its a difficult one and we are all confused by our loyalty to the club. Beth I now live on the south coast and have done for the last 20 years and our little/big club has been the laughing stock for the last 3/4 years and the average fan actually does not like us anymore. I personally am not bothered but am embarrassed by the poor management/running of the club and would like so many others on here DO NOT want one more season like it again. So, happy to bring in a new manager, young players, build again (A la Eddie Howe and Bournemouth) and get rid of prima donna Managers and players rather than HR making our position worse. I actually think what would have got us all onside would have been HRs sacking this week! 5 games to go plus maybe 3 more, all pre season together, why not?

For all you supporters across the water get to the match, if you possibly can, give it everything in terms of support and see where it takes us. I wish I could, but will be over for the playoffs. Forget about Harry, and get behind the players and there could still be something for us this season. We all love our club,so show it on Saturday!

Very good OP there Betty. I posted this elsewhere yesterday so I'll just re-print it here:

We're in the Playoffs and despite only one team out of four winning promotion, I think it will be us. We have a decent record in the Playoffs and remain, officially at least, undefeated in the annual competition.

We're having a very decent season and with a win on Saturday against Forest and with Chazza getting back into the groove, we've got a bloody good chance of going all the way.

I'm very confident in this team.

To make the players and management team understand how much we value them and their outstanding efforts in getting us to 4th place in the Championship, why don't we offer them all contract extensions? I'm sure that, with bonuses, should make them try extra hard to get promotion.

By 'getting behind the team' I assume we're talking about vocal support on match days. In 50+ years of going to LR I don't think we've ever had the kind of supporters who keep up the noise levels when things are going badly. It's probably self-deception, but I actually like to think that this indicates a more intelligent type of crowd than you see at places such as Portsmouth and Leeds where blinkered adoration is the norm. In any event, that situation isn't going to change any time soon so it really is up to the management and players to give us a positive approach to get behind. It doesn't take much - players showing real effort, taking a few chances, and most of all an early goal - for LR to turn from a library to having one of the best atmospheres in the country. If HR only understood that he would surely give us something that threw the on switch.

One thing I've been meaning to say for a while now is an admission on my part. An admission that I made a prediction early in the season and I couldn't have been more wrong. In fact, I made a bit of a fool of myself at the time. I repeatedly said Burnley would fall away and would be lucky to make the Playoffs, even when others were saying they could go all the way. Its pretty embarrassing now looking back because I was quite adamant about it. The moment my mind was changed was after watching the 3-3 at our place. That I the day I realised I got them all wrong.

Credit to COL who said from the off that they looked like a proper football team who could go the distance.
