Whilst its never just one persons fault id say he is most to blame of the players.

Hes been here 3 years he supposed to be the leader, he led a coup de tat against his manager and this season alone hes been at fault for 9 goals this season.

I know we fell apart at spurs after Cuellar and Catts went off but spurs had about a dozen corners and we looked solid defending them without Oshea

PDC deserved the boot - as someone said in an article I read it was as if he was on a permanent angry sugar rush, so I dont blame Oshea for that. but lets not rehash that argument.

Oshea has been crap on occasion, but so has every player this season. We have shipped 53[/ goals this season (21 less than fulham, 11 less than cardiff). Only 5 teams have conceded less than 40 goals. Part of this season when we were on good from was when Brown and Oshea were on form. they are both at the end of their careers, and isnt it sad that we are relying on 2 players past their prime to be the ones who anchored our defence?
Dont get me wrong, I will be glad to see both Oshea and Brown gone cos they are past it, but they never should have been our main central defenders this season anyway. The transfer policy of PDC/De Fanti was **** during the summer. if there was one position where you cant be relying on foreign imports (to make an immediate impact in their 1st season) it the CD position.

IMO, attack was our weakness not defence - 29 goals scored, only Norwich and Crystal Palace have scored less (but Crystal palace are one of the only ones who have conceded less than 40 goals).

Where has Poyet succeeded where Paolo failed? The only place where I can see it is Gus has managed to get an extra couple of months of effort from those **** stain's. We're now 7 points adrift from the pack, exactly the same as when Gus took over which kind of proves my point. PDC was spot on, as is Gus, same sentiment only delivered with a different tone, and that's the Squad is **** and not good enough. Paolo's sacking was no fairer than it would be if Poyet was sacked, because they have never been the problem. It's the players who are the problem.

While it's fairly clear that attacking has been our biggest flaw, often a solid defensive display has been ruined by a JOS 'mishap'.

Own goals, penalty giveaways etc, it doesn't matter, if we draw 1-1, lose 1-0 due to a give away goal, that's every bit as vital as a missed chance.

As I mentioned, the Palace away game, JOS threw that away, we were on top, and if we'd won that single game, we'd be 6 points closer to Palace, even a draw we'd be 4 closer.

4 points at this point and we'd still have genuine belief.

The man is so far past it his sell by date has rubbed off his ****ing foot.

Players who I want to leave at the end of the season are O'Shea, Cattermole, Larsson, Cuellar & Bardo who all went to that ugly irish lass & get PDC the sack.

There's at least 15 players to blame for our position. O'Shea is dire, admittedly, but so are plenty of others.

Beats me how he has got away with it for so long, four managers have put their trust in him, and he has failed them all, and still some defend him by default, it is not just the goals he has been directly responsible for, it is the number of times he runs under a cross making sure he is in no position to clear the ball. I have never seen him beat anyone to the ball in a one on one, he is too slow, and cant jump. And I don't rate Catts either.
