Im still trying to get my head around this not going to semi attitude. 1,To watch it anyway you will have t go to the pub, hence spending money. 2,You may never get another chance to see City in an FA Cup semi 3,You can go to the pub thousands of times in your adult life. 4, And the main point,,If preference goes to people who went to cup matches your shafted big time and WILL regret it.
I'm going to the pub. That will cost me about £20 probably, max. How can I get a ticket and transport (and not forgetting other associated expenses) to Wembley for £20?
Realistically I'm not expecting to get one for the final if we get there. If I do, bonus. If I don't, I'll be disappointed, but I'll survive... and I'll be back in the pub watching us, hopefully, win the FA Cup. And it'll be great.
You could get run over by a bus on Monday and you will have missed out on ever getting to Wembley Make the most if every day and I hope you change your mind and go
Im watching it at a friends who is putting on food so only have to take beers If I went I would have to take wife and kids which I just cant afford I dont expect to get a final ticket if we get there I hope I can but think its a long shot For me there are a number of reasons Im not going...........Cost, Allams and name change bollocks have taken the shine of football this season for me, Ive already seen us play at Wembley, semi final shouldn't be at Wembley anyway.
I have to say the kick off time on a Sunday ****ed me off something chronic. If you have to get back to Hull it will be a really late return. Fortuitously I was scheduled to be in London on the Tuesday, so I just swapped the days around, but for some, this would be an expensive day out. The Semi Finals simply shouldn't be at Wembley, not on a Sunday and not on the same day as the London Marathon. The FA are mental.
The chance to see City destroy Sheff Utd in a FA Cup Semi Final at Wembley is unmissable. Also the stay in Hull and watch it in the pub option has the severe risk that you'll be in the company of eggchasers and plastic prem fans.
I Think wed all rather go to villa park or manchester but that aint gonna happen any time soon. I think the FA had to agree to playing the semis at Wembley for a minimum of 25 years to secure money from the banks to build Wembley. Though now theres 3 NFL games at Wembley each year there should be some change IMO
I also don't agree with the semi's being at Wembley. I am not attending the semi a I go on holiday the next day to the US. I have however used mine and the wife's season pass to get tickets for friends, So I should be OK for final tickets, if we get there. Here's hoping. I also have BT Sport, so will be watching from the comfort of my lounge!!
I booked a cottage nr Windermere from the 12th till the 19th April. I shall now start holiday on the 14th. I guess we are all in different situations and some can't go for different reasons. I don't have kids or a wife. I don't get those who could go....but choose to watch in the pub. Anyway we will just have to sing louder won't we
It's a no brainer for me - just have to go. Never thought I'd get a chance to see City in a Cup Semi or to see City at Wembley. Already done Wembley once - but this time get to do it with my son too. This will be our final anyway as we aren't season pass holders (seen about half the matches) so can't see us getting tickets for the final. For me; if you can go - go (may never get the opportunity again). If you can't thats a shame. Lets hope we all enjoy the day wherever we are. Come on City.
Well there's 2565 fans who will not be making the journey as it's only against Sheffield United and not against Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool etc. So they need to be discounted from the ranks entirely.
Rules are meant to be broken Carmine. Anyways no one puts their hands inside my tiger onesie!! No one.
