i was surprised to hear the "yes" men on Radio Humberside all sound quite elderly , they all say that they have been "following" City for a very long time . Not at all what i would expect as a typical "yes" man voter TBH. That said , when i do listen to RH the majority of people who phone in anyway sound old , simple or mad ! (no offence to old people - i hope to be one one day )
I think a significant percentage of people who voted yes did so because they are elderly and have watched Hull City over decades and don't want to go to play in League 2 again. They feel they owe Assem Allam loyalty for saving the club and getting us to the Premier League and an FA Cup semi-final.
They were seduced by the omnipotent Doctors gift of immortality after he'd told them they could die when they want.
It's really not. Anyone with a brain has looked at the circumstances surrounding it all and understands. It's only the cretins that say things like "PMSL hull tigers lmfao" and look at the pictures in the sun that believe this bollocks and their opinion matters less than a dead leaf as they're so thick they don't qualify for an opinion that means something.
Off topic but I don't see what anyone's sees in growing old. It'd be proper ****e, and who wants to keep going til they're a cabbage in a vegetable patch? I think I'll wait til I've fulfilled my purpose then join the military or start bike racing.
As opposed to the CTWD intellectual bully boys from the upper sixth? one lazy stereotype deserves another..........
That's probably true and a significant percentage of people who didn't vote had been made to believe by CTWD that there would be such an overwhelming vote of 'no' that they didn't need to bother voting!
Could you begrudge the elderly who have done their time across the lower leagues and just wish to enjoy some real success in their last few years of life? I know the knuckle draggers will, but personally I couldn't begrudge them. Not just a question to you Obi despite the quote, I'm asking all. Could you really class someone wanting to enjoy the closing years of their lives as "spineless fat ****ing cowards" despite them having been there through it all? I wonder what Tiger Terry would have to chip in about all of this, I guess he wouldn't be in favour.
I've watched city in league 2 and I'm only 18. I'd rather do that than sell out and accept anything from someone in return for giving us a fairly high interest loan.
Cas Tigers are sponsored by the Yorkshire Pride bar in Benidorm, if that's not going global I don't know what is! Not a chance they would have secured such a sponsor without having a big cat in their name.
No I don't begrudge them. I think its perfectly understandable, its just I disagree. To be honest I was surprised at how low the yes vote was. I was expecting it to be a lot higher given the threats to walk away.
I'd say 'a significant percentage of people' didn't vote because the club made it fecking difficult. I've little time for the OSC but their vote was simply. Either Yes or No and every paid up member received a voting slip in the post. How difficult would that have been for the club to organise ? Also as a season ticket holder I am continually hearing that the club emailed everybody. Well, I must be the odd one out then because no-one emailed me. It was botched, amateurish, and I hope the FA see straight through it.
Name change aside, History will judge the Allams very kindly. What utter rubbish ^^^^^ this. You need to wake up and see what is going on elsewhere. As for the non voters ? that was there choice. So that is only 2517 who actually voted No to Hull Tigers then ? You said you were against the name change. CTWD will only be happy when the club goes back to those days. Just as long as we keep our name.
Course it makes us look pathetic. How can you campaign like that all year and then no bugger votes for it. I'm talking about the people who didn't vote because of the wording of the yes option, so decided not to vote at all. If he's clearly rigged it, he's ****ing you over. Don't give in to it. Also, how can anybody vote yes to something they don't have a clue about? We've hardly been kept well informed by the people at the top. Just force fed lies, and more bull**** form day 1. The Chairman's son even came out and said there was nothing to it.
what utter rubbish you write. Can you not put forward a balanced argument without reverting to questioning the parents of life time city/tigers supporters who just have a different opinion to you. Did you stand on the old bunkers hill, watch billy bly, travel on the train to boothferry park for matches. I did.
