view and prediction: I have said all season that Orient occupy a false position and I do not believe they will get promoted. I watched them at Priestfield and thought they were average, despite beating us on boxing day. I will be going to this game so I will leave it to the O’s to prove me wrong... brb I don't doubt that the Hillsborough incident can only be described as a tragic event. I am sure that the pain of the loss of loved ones is as raw today as it was all those years ago - I too have lost family very close to me and the pain is still 'fresh' after many years - but - I have publicly 'moved on'. Privately I still grieve, especially at anniversary time. I am not certain that there should be a full scale alteration of schedules to accommodate an 'enforced' period of grieving for the rest of society - that is not to say that I won't have sympathetic thoughts for families who have lost somebody in this incident. I wouldn't dream of preventing family or friends from commemorating the anniversary - but why single out this tragedy for 'special' appreciation from the rest of us ? - where do we draw the line ? - isn't the death of any one person less important than that of another ? I suppose that my tolerance for outpouring of 'false' emotion is lower than normal at football matches. You get all that respectful hand shaking before the game starts - then both sets of players want to kick lumps out of each other for 90 minutes. This hypocrisy 'damages' the spirit of any ritual of respect that precedes it.
