Thing is - Bothroyd should be a much better player than Graham. He has better technique, better strength, and a greater presence. Why he didn't do better last year is a mystery to me. Maybe it was because he was in a team of Premiership players that he didn't get the space or the service he needed? Dunno.

I'd still pick an on-form Bothroyd over an on-form Graham to play in the top flight though - just MHO.

bothroyd underperformed because he was playing for a sheep shagger club

Didn't see Danny Graham selected for England last season, maybe I am missing something?? I did see Graham being completely anonymous and didn't get a sniff at Vicaridge in April, completely obliterated by Kaspars Gorkss. Expect the same this coming season Swans.

I did tho, see Bothroyd play for England and was Cardiff's best player in both games v us last season (and the season before at LR).

And Graham didn't sign for us, because we didn't pay the £3.5m that you muggins club did. Our bid was rejected, end of.

Bothroyd has played at the top level in Serie A and the Premier League - plus is an International. Is he a better player than Graham? Maybe, maybe not. But its not utter rubbish to suggest he is. Perhaps if he wasn't playing for Cardiff recently, you could see that.

To put it bluntly Swans fan:

    Graham: Lower League player
Bothroyd: Premier League + International player

Yes he has played in premier league and Serie A but tell me is he proven in those leagues, no, in fact his record in those leagues are crap. Ok Graham isn't proven either but right now with age and form on his side I would back him any day over Bothroyd.

    I wouldn't.

I dont see him as the answer to your clear striking problems. I'd expect another 4-0 spanking in W12 again this season if I were you :)

Berbatov scored more goals than Rooney last year. Does that make him a better player? No way. From a Cardiff fan, I can tell you that Bothroyd is class and will perform at PL level if his head is in the right place.

Other Watford players who performed well surely include Jordan Mutch, Don Cowie & Will Buckley? Shows how much some know about football!!

I'd take Bothroyd. I've seen him have some very good games against us and his style would seem to suit our recent formation. Plus he's on a free which must appeal to BE and FB. I understand he's another one with an ego that needs a lot of massaging but Colin has had plenty of practice at that over the last season or so.
