Well no one managed to find the winner of the National but Cyclonic did find the 2nd placed horse and went on to triumph overall.

What a wonderful effort Steve. I've competed in many of these comps in the past, both here and on the old 606 site, and I have to say, it brought together a magnificent field of warriors. To win an event like this takes sheer brilliance. One needs a mind capable of mathematics the likes of which most quantum physicists would envy. The workings of Quarks and Leptons are insignificant alongside those needed to win a major tipping comp like this. Thank you Steve, and commiserations to those who toiled manfully in my wake. To take off so early and show a clean pair of heels to those who followed, reminded me of the great Frankel. I think we must be cut from the same bolt of cloth. <whistle>

Any comp that involves 4m slogs and big field runners in them has to favour the man from down under, that's when he comes into his own... Well done Cyc my man...<ok>

Cheers Steveo for running the comp, your time and efforts are appreciated...<cheers>

Thanks Red. I really expected you to excel at the distance stuff, you usually do. I was going to post a market with you as one of the favourites.

since I have a quiet month at work I might be able to do another one next week for the Craven meeting if anyone is interested in that.
have run that before because although it is not on TV I always find it provides some decent racing to kick off the flat season.

I would be keen, although at the Craven meeting I anticipate being let down by every race, rather than just one day's worth.
