I hope to see Bothroyd come to QPR We need to sign some quality players desperately before the start of the new season
jaybothroyd on twitter Back from Rome had a great trip !!! Feels so cold back in England !! Always the same wet cold ... Roll on Friday BOOM . @jaybothroyd Roll on Friday BOOM ? does that mean he will have news on Friday ?
Think that means he's off to Vegas (previous tweet) Which is ironic as those casinos can leave you on the bones of your arse.
Why does everyone keep talking about getting people back, Gabbidon, Koumas, Bothroyd, McCormack, Earshaw, Uncle tom Cobbly? They are yesterday's people. They all tried and failed. If the hadn't they wouldn't be available. I want us to find a few good succeeders not yesterday men. Lets look at the young talent and mix it with a few good players who can come in from Prem clubs (Even on loans or pay per play) and help them develop, but different ones not people we've seen before. It never works, look at JK last season.
Using your logic, shouldn't that list include Bellamy? I agree with Gabbs and Koumas, Bothroyd is, technically, still a bluebird and RM is....meh. I still think Earnie could do a job for us if we went in for him and would have the experience around any younger players. jmo
H Bomb, i wasn't meaning any players in particular, just that people always want back someone who has been here and gone on to another club. iIwouldn't count Bellers in that because if he has his way he'll be back by august so technically hasn't been away. Then again if he goes off and plays for West Ham or someone they Yes, I would put him in with the rest.
No probs mate...was just playing devil's advocate. I agree to a point. I just think if someone can still contribute to the overall team performance, I don't see the fact he may have been here before as being a problem (in the case of RE, the 'Earnie' factor would just be a bonus) The thought of Bellamy going to WHU would take some processing though
Personally- i never want to see Jay Bothroyd in a City shirt again! I used to be a fan of Jay when he was at least trying' for City that was until earlier this year after his England call up against France , and for the rest of the season it was just like he just didnt want to know . It got my back up a little bit, but when we needed someone like Jay to Step up' and score a few important goals for us, instead he sort of Froze and reverted back to the former lazy Jay Bothroyd of past years! Not blaming Jay as there were a few who seemed totally uninterested as the season came to an end but i expected more off Jay than he delivered in my eyes although some may disagree . A few Little niggly things are grinding on me with Jay , dont get me wrong but when Jay was in form' he was unstoppable and on a few occassions it was a pleasure to watch him skipping past defenders leaving them for dead with that Extra little touch he seemed to have., And then - things like being caught 20 yards offside with the midfield having to hold up the ball' waiting for him to get his arse back on side so we could start the attack again and on too many occasions as Jay strolls back after being knocked/Tackled/after falling to the floor then after spending another 15 valuable seconds on his arse , spitting his dummy out then combined with the slow walk to get back on side and then bottling 50/50 balls and showing no passion when playing for and when wearing a Cardiff City shirt i personally think that Cardiff City has seen the best of Bothroyd and maybe time to move on now! Dead wood out - Starting again with near enough a blank slate! The Glass is Half Full - Keep The Faith ...........
