What's your sauce? There was a Phil Hay tweet doing the rounds immediately after the announcement, but it was people reposting his from January
There was me wondering if he will lay low for a few days, I can see some good threads and heated debates in the next few weeks/months
https://twitter.com/PhilHayYEP‎ The retweet going around from me about McDermott being sacked is from the end of January. Ignore.
So,BM now has no excuses, players will be paid takeover done, He has a championship squad, not the best, but not the worst(also has top scorer) So no more excuses,go and get 8/9 points from 18 and maybe you keep your job.
I didn't know the re-tweet I read about was from January. So apols for the confusion Can someone close this thread now please, especially as I'd like to see BMD with no money pressures to worry about getting the team playing as they undoubtedly can.
Worst manager in our history sick of the "uncearainty crap exuse" he is the manager ? get rid NOW before he sends us down !
I've had enough of the ****e that is so called Leeds supporters, throwing their dummies out of their prams coz we don't play that well and we aren't the best team in the Championship. FFS get a grib, we are not the Leeds of 1992 or under O'Leary and for business sake, god help us if we ever got back to that, because we would not recover this time. We have today got a new owner and one who appears keen to spend the cash, but remember he is the majority Leeds owner and if he decides to give up, then we are left in the **** hole once again. McDermott is doing as well as anyone could ask for, it pathetic that some Leeds 'supporters' don't see that, I question why you support the team? I am 100% behind McDermott, he is the man for the job and I hope to hell our new Italian owner doesn't listen to so called Leeds fans and act, as he would be making a massive mistake. I actually wish those who want McDermott sacked would look at the reality of things over the last 2 years and ask "who on earth would have done a better job, under all the ****e that has happened", if they name anyone I would be surprised. The players act for the manager not because they want to keep their place, but because they know how good a manager he is and just what he needs to move things on. I can state that one of our former players wishes he played under McDermott and another who is so keen to come back to the club due to McDermott being the manager, that he has already requested a transfer back to the club, if they came in for him. Wake up to what we have and stop this utter pish about McDermott.
Boab, I got the impression you were against McD reading the forum over the last couple days. Personally, I have always backed him, think he is a good manager. However, our form since christmas has been nothing short of woeful, I get that their have been distractions BUT manager has to take blame for the way we are playing and the poor run of results as do the players as well as they seem to have just given up most of em. Should we sack the manager? Hmm, not sure, there is very little to use to defend him. Weirdly I am confident if he gets another season though that he'll get us playing 10 times better. I actually also don't see the point sacking him now, we are in no danger and then we need to look for a manager. I would at the very least give him till the end of the season.
Yesterday is what we should have seen from the team the last couple of months. Truth is though, they fought hard and put the effort in but without confidence to back it up they were never going to win. Truth is even with that kind of fight it's the lack of confidence killing results and no amount of managerial prowess can fix that under the circumstances
But the fans can! Fans can instil confidence in players by praising their attempts to do something creative or right, even if it goes wrong; the fans can sing constantly; the players can respond. No matter what people say, it is a together thing. In general the fans can help the team, and when they don't put in the effort, that's when they get blasted (eg Hereford). Players can understand that and respond positively to both. Of course it's not just the fans, but we do play a part
