I was going to write this on the MOM thread but thought it's a bit different, 6 would be an average.

Harper-7 He did what he needed to do & when called upon took charge, quick off his line.
Rosenior-7Set up the winning goal, tackled back well & got forward well
Chester -7 Tackling was inch perfect, his positioning & heading was well timed.
Davies- 8 Lead the back line well, tackled, headed everything & got into good positions in the opposition box.
Figueroa-5 Defensively poor, was constantly beaten by Routlidge. Several mistakes, the good tackles he made were down to him missing a tackle initially.
Meyler-8 Was at the centre of everything, won a lot of FK's, slowed down towards the end of the game, but still quality.
Elmo-6 Didn't do anything wrong but was making the wrong passes on a regular basis.
Livermore-6 Again nothing special, did his job but was overshadowed by Meyler.
Boyd, -8 MOM today, always a player who could get into space, won plenty of FK's, scored the goal & just edged the MOM.
Long -6 Started strongly but drifted out of the game, seemed to drift out of the game too often. Lacked concentration.
Jelavic -6 Didn't do much overall held the ball up well but never really got any clear cut chances.
    Subs
Aluko -5 Didn't do much, ran around but didn't touch the ball enough.
Koren -6 played well but didn't add much to the overall game.
Sagbo -6 came on late, nothing much to so.

I rated the Orange chinese lantern bag higher than Aluko it moved quicker and looked far more menacing.

LOL!! That's hilarious. That thing looked truly scary. We all know that Sone has talent and at his best is a real threat to defences. But since his return he's been a shadow of his former self and has simply not been effective. He seems to lack confidence. I really think Quinn would be a better choice as a substitute for now.

Have to agree. I've never rated Aluko at this level. Way out of his depth for mine. George has surprised me a little. He lacks a bit of pace but can wriggle out of some tight situations and gets a very good cross in - definitely MOM yesterday and appears to be gaining confidence. We missed "The Hudd" and lack a little depth in that area as well as up front. Fryatt, Sagbo and Aluko would be good in the Championship but are a bit short on quality at this level imo. Figgy is also out of his depth. I reckon Harper but with McGreggor doubtful we will probably have to dig deep again during the close season.

    Aluko should come good.

However there will be doubts since I remember thinking the same about Cameron Stewart who for a few months was the best thing since sliced-bread and his injury killed his confidence.

    Bit harsh on Livermore.
And what a deputy we have in Harper. Absolute masterstroke bringing him in as back up to McGregor.

Can't really understand some people on here have previously stated that they have a problem with Jelavic and dont rate him. I've always been impressed with his work rate and his ability to find space and to read where the ball is going to drop. I realise he may miss a few chances but the other forwards we have available never seem to find any of these spaces in the first place.

    Eh?

My point was on today's game he didn't get any clear cut chances.
