I accept that we will lose to a better side ,either by performance or tactically , we offered neither today and haven't played consistently well for too long , three steps forward 4 back , now we know you believe Monk is the man to lead us onwards and upwards but sorry if it's true then we are doomed to mediocrity so get used to it . Finish the season unbeaten ,you're having laugh ,we'll be lucky to stay up with any more performances like this today.
We will probably get the three points we need to stay up. But if the board are thinking of Monk as the man to take us forward, then they are deluded, as we will end up back in the Championship with him in charge.
In fairness to GM he sound exasperated at the performance as most of us. We are a Jekyll and Hyde side at present although we have not been hammered by 5 or 6 goals like some of our rivals. Michu was lucky to come out for the 2nd half. He represents the face of Swansea as he like the team are both enigmas at present.
Maybe it's time he bollocked a few in public. Heard during the week he gave the squad a dressing down for turning up for training at the start of the week like big time Charlie's. Some of these egos need a damn good battering.
I thought the performance was ****ing dreadful, same as I did the performance against West Ham, I don't think either performance was better or worse than the other. The only difference being that Hull were not good enough to score 3 today, unlike the West Ham we played. It is you who change your tune to suit, you slated ML, yet stick by Monk, you kept going on about 8 wins in whatever it was, 39? even though it was not 8. Yet say nothing about the **** we are being served up now. You do know that Monk has already tied ML's record of losing to bottom half clubs this season don't you? In 24 games, ML lost just 2 to clubs in the bottom half (Cardiff and West Ham), Monk has done that in 9 games (West Brom and Hull). You stick to talking the **** you usually serve up because you don't want to lose face.
I had also heard that Valley and it is difficult for him being an interim Manager and former colleague of the players. He almost in his interview suggested that he had explained to players what was expected and they had failed to deliver. With 5 games left he is walking a tightrope in trying to cajole a performance out of them when he probably feels like slamming them after a performance like that.
