Good evening fellow not606ers, I have kept rather quiet these last few weeks as I know the 'Hughton inners' were getting more than a little tired of my 'anit-Hughton' posts. However, I really can't stay quiet any longer, just look a the FACTS: A manager that has presided over 18 wins in 73 games ( yes, that's right, check it if you don't believe me) A manager that has spent circa £15M on 2 strikers that couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo A manager that has presided over our worst defeat since 1938 A manager that has presided over a Premier League team that has lost to a non-league side AT HOME in the FA Cup ! A manager that has served up the most dire style of play in most games under his tenure I could go on but I think you get the point I'm trying to make here, which is: WHAT OTHER FOOTBALL MANAGER WOULD STILL BE IN HIS JOB WITH A RECORD LIKE THAT ? Even at this late stage of the season I'd sack him now, we really have nothing to lose as he will take us down just as I predicted months' ago.
Absolutely. I've been lying low, too, because I could tell people were pissed off with what they saw as my negativity. Well, I'm still pretty negative and I honestly think with Hughton in charge we will get zero points, so there is no risk in giving the job to Adams for the last five games. As for Hughton's legacy - we go back to being a Championship club. And we are going to get relegated playing the most dour and unattractive football in the league. Thank you, Chris, you really are a legend.
Afraid I think while we remain out of the relegation zone, I think we're stuck with him. This squad is good enough to dig a couple more results out in spite of the manager. The longest run of defeats we've had under Hughton is four. I don't think we'll go seven games without picking up a point.
It is actually quite difficult for me to take your post at face value when it claims to entirely comprise facts but is actually just a vehicle to voice your one sided opinion once more. £15 million for two strikers; I make it £8.5 million for van Wolfswinkel and £5 million for Hooper = £13.5 million (although this doesn't make your point about them being extremely disappointing any less valid) and also you say our worst defeat since 1938? In terms of scoreline yes, and it was a dreadful game but is it really worse than losing to Colchester at HOME? So really only two of your five 'facts' are actually facts. And you can't keep quiet any longer? When were you ever keeping quiet? Facts are that we have five games to play and our destiny is still within our hands. You neglect to mention some of the more positive aspects of Hughton's tenure also such as 11 clean sheets this season. But anyway, I think by the end of this season you will have your wish and Hughton will not be our manager anymore.
How could you possibly claim that it is impossible to take KIO's post at face value when he's expressed an opinion as a fact, only to say: "you say our worst defeat since 1938? In terms of scoreline yes, and it was a dreadful game but is it really worse than losing to Colchester at HOME?" The fact is, it WAS our biggest defeat since 1938. Your opinions on Colchester are opinions too mate. Very ironic.
Yes it is an opinion but I never stated it was a fact. And more importantly I could conduct a very convincing argument that the Colchester defeat was far worse than the Man City game. So how is that ironic?
We are terrible? Yes, we were poor today and literally terrible vs Swansea but equally I have seen enough good performances this season, especially with the heat on to not yet resign myself to watching Champ football next season. And to be honest I don't still want Hughton managing our side beyond next season; I don't think he is a bad manager but he is now so unpopular with a lot of fans that I can't bear to watch the nasty atmosphere everytime we lose and I can't see that changing unless we win all five of our next games.
Why don't you all have a rip round amongst you and hire a plane with a banner for your next home game!
Another FACT is that this is the lowest number of goals scored at home since 1973. We've got to score 7 more just to equal the record, so that's 3 against Liverpool and 4 against the Gunners. Peice of piss ! Hughtons dismal record is indefenceable IMO the lows have been really low and the highs.....well I can't remember the highs !
This maybe the case but your the ones that are the laughing stock right now! I've already got money on another Suarez hat trick
