    I love this day - every year for the past 50 years - and I agree that C4 are really trying to push the boat out, making a 4 hour programme around a 9 minutes race.

    But they ARE neglecting the supporting races as far as the racing fans are concerned, although the 98% majority of world viewers probably couldn't care less!

    BTW - who is Gemma Merna? I didn't recognise them ......... :D

    Just not my day today. First 2 selections blundered away any chance they might have had at the last and my banker pulled up early due to two successive blunders. I hope the horse is OK.

    Pineau De Rae was my pin sticker a few days ago and i'm sticking with that. Long Run must have a chance though. 16/1 seems too big to me. Almost like they know he's not right.

    Anyone else think today's racing has been littered with bad riding from the jockeys? Choc in the first was Poor with a big P. Noel in the 2.50 was ridiculous.
