There have been a lot of decent performances this year, but I can't think of any other player who has been so vital, so missed and so consistent.

    OK Nick, I agree!!

Seriously he has to be the best in the PL this season and if he is tempted away in the summer I, for one, will be gutted.

I have to agree Nick, but I think any of the back line could be in with a shout. Shawcross has been pretty solid, and has picked up this new "passing" thing quite well. After a dodgy start as CB, Wilson adapted well to another makeshift position for him. Pieters always looks good, and I'd say Cameron is our most improved player from last season.

Sandor, re Cameron, I asked the question earlier 'is he our most improved player this season' and the general concensus was yes. Always rated Pieters, very good full back.

Fingers crossed for another dismal Chelsea performance tomorrow.

It would be absolutely fantastic to be the first team to beat them at home under Jose's reign.

For me Begovich is our MVP , and it would be almost impossible to fill his gloves if he left at season's end.

Shawcross has been good as well, having to cope without Huth and covering for Wilson! However Begovic has saved us so many points he has to be no.1
