Voted for by opposition managers the Top 10 best players in the Championship. Sky Bet Championship Player of the Year Top 10 1 Danny Ings (Burnley) 2 Ross McCormack (Leeds United) 3 Danny Drinkwater (Leicester City) 4 Andy Reid (Nottingham Forest) 5 David Nugent (Leicester City) 6 Sam Vokes (Burnley) 7 Jamie Vardy (Leicester City) 8 Kieran Trippier (Burnley) 9 Aaron Cresswell (Ipswich Town) 10 Will Hughes (Derby County) This will add another couple of Million to his transfer value in the Summer! I just don't understand how Berra hasn't made the Top 10! Berra is without doubt the best Centre Back in this Division and Tommy isn't too far behind!
Has to be the best player we've had over the past 5-10 years even when he's had a dip in form he's been a 7/10, the level of consistency he's shown over the past 3 seasons has been remarkable for a young player and one which has come from the lower leagues
I agree ptc! Cressy was far and away the best signing Jewell ever made during his time at Ipswich but then again this is the same bloke that signed Ingimaarson!
Fair comment hoppers. But I think we need a more defensive player in his position thus allowing MM to be more adventurous further up the pitch.
I'd wanna keep him. The boy is class and would be an asset to us were we to get to the promise land. Undoubtably at some point in the near future he will move on. And we will get paid handsomely I'm sure. But lets keep him. And Weighty, why could Mick try Cressy in a left midfield/wing position and exploit his speed and killer ball playing ability and invest in another left back. Just a thought.
Cressy is a LB and I see no reason why we should use him in another position unless needs must. Why play the leagues best LB out of position? I agree with Mick... http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/24962/mccarthy-no-surprise-bosses-rate-cresswell
Agree in sense that yes he's a left back ptc. And not a bad one at that. It was purely a thought with his attacking tendencies and ability to provide great balls into the centre and could he be utilised as a threat from midfield or wing.
Agree he could probably do a job on the LW but to me he has the attributes of an attacking LB and may not be as effective on the wing. Would rather we looked for another LW than a LB. I'd be worried if Cresswell left that we would get a real defensively minded LB or a CB in at LB!!
Looking at that list I don't think many of those players would be a hit in the premier league...........apart from Cresswell obviously.
Very surprised Goldie is not on that list . All the others are scoring as part of on form teams which is no surprise . But Goldie is takung the law into his own hands
I reckon there are a few who could make the step up, Drinkwater, Trippier and Hughes I think could all do it plus maybe Vardy. If Leicester don't buy a tonne of players in and upset the applecart I reckon they could do alright next season in the PL
