    It's a win-win.

Suicide bomber gets to meet his 72 burka'd up munters, and oxygen freed up for the rest of us <ok>

    Win-win?

438 UK troops - men and women - killed. For what?

Or is it 'Mission accomplished' as the oaf said?

Without wanting to sound like a knicker wetting liberal, people lost their lives here and one man's terrorist... I'm pretty sure Irish militant republicans celebrated things many of us would find abhorrent.

Basically I'm saying its all ****.

I'm glad they lost their lives.

Many more get to keep theirs as a result of actions such as these <ok>

Maybe start a new thread on the futility/tragedy of war?

This thread is about one highly unusual specific event and the OP's reaction to it.

OK - but, unlike you (and the OP) I don't get any buzz, any lift from killing. Sorry.

No need to get on some imaginary moral pedestal Stan.

A bad man dies - a good day for the world.

I left this open initially to see if it lead to some sort of discussion. It hasn't. It's not for here IMHO
