I don't know exactly how CTWD has been set up, but I believe with businesses set up as members clubs one of the legal requirements is that there's at least 1 meeting of this nature a year for members to have the opportunity to put their views to the people running the group (and to each other) and to determine whether those people should still be running the group. (members are effectively the same as shareholders in a business).

I'm also pretty sure if you're signed up to a group that only has one purpose and that purpose ceases to exist in it's present form it would trigger an emergency general meeting to resolve the future of the group, so the 9th April decision from the FA would be a trigger point either way. Either it's approved and the members would need to decide whether to fight to change it back or not, or it's rejected and the members need to decide whether to continue the group for other reasons or disband it. (Obviously the fact the club have said they'll continue fighting for the name change would mean continuation is the likely result of that)

    ----------------------------------------------------

So, conspiracy theories put to one side. I'd suggest this thread becomes one for CTWD members to discuss the group, ask questions etc. Non-members should leave it unless it's something constructive they're adding rather than sniping. Any comments about secret plans all along are a better fit on the sticky where the issue has already been addressed several times.

Equally if someone on the YestoHullTigers side has set up a group that has similar requirements for meetings a designated thread can be made at the time for their members to discuss the running/future of the group without it being flooded by non-members just looking to be argumentative.

Will there be anyway to vote if you can't attend the meeting but are a fully paid up member?

The vote will be conducted by a show of hands, so I'm afraid if you're not there, you can't vote(that's why we're holding it on a matchday) and the candidates statements will be read out ahead of each vote, so you really need to be there to hear what you're voting on.

Whoooaa!! The Tigers Co-Op went down this route and at a hastily arranged meeting 'voted' to spend the funds which were donated to help either save the club or buy a stake in it, on buying the Tigers Lair. Which failed miserably.
If this name change is halted by the FA then IMO the CTWD group has done a sterling job and should cease immediately. Any surplus funds should be donated to the Hull City Youth Development as the Tigers Co-Op cash should have been.

Funds aren't really as issue in this instance, as there isn't a significant amount in the kitty, it was all used on the campaign.

Fair comment then, Funds were an issue when it was the Co-Op, I think £40k was spunked away on the Tigers Lair, could be wrong.
How about transferring al your membership to the OSC and the CTWD committee having a go at taking over the OSC ?
The OSC could drastically do with a major overhaul and at the moment membership is falling when it should be going through the roof.

Really? How about if CTWD wants it own forum to discuss its own things it ****s off and creates one somewhere else? This is NOT a CTWD forum. Its a forum which prides itself on being free to debate, create etc.

If there was an even hand here and the **** posted about the owners, the sniping and conspiracy theories regarding them also were put into one thread I could see the point. You don't, so **** off with the censoring of threads to suit the CTWD agenda.

Yes, you get a welcome letter, a membership card, a wristband, a badge(or you did until we ran out) and a postcard to send to the FA. Have you joined and not received anything? If so, PM me your details(or send them to [email protected]) and I'll sort it for you.

It was actually a £10k loan and unfortunately, as you've suggested, it did turn out to be rather a poor investment.

I believe there is a desire at the club to bring the official supporters club in-house and run it themselves.

Ah the good old, "me and all my mates" argument. Staple diet of the pro name changer. There's 2 or 3 on here and you all happen to know loads of other people with the same extreme view. But none of them use forums or sing at games.

This really isn't news at all. They've been saying for months there's going to be a general meeting, that most of the current committee would be stepping down, that there'd be open elections to fill the vacant roles and that one key topic would be the future direction of the group. If you'd spent more time reading what's actually there, instead of desperately analysing everything they produce looking for some horrible hidden agenda or scandal to cling onto, you'd have noticed this.

It pretty much already is. The die hards are always going to be the ones who care enough to join up <ok>

People who care about their club <ok>

The issue with that is the club. The OSC have a hard enough time getting anything sorted with them, if CTWD people were involved the club would go out of their way to be even less helpful.
