City are sitting 3rd in the table with games in hand on Chelsea and Liverpool and what is brewing up into a title decider at Anfield on the 13th April. We go into the game on the back of what was probably our best display of the season against Newcastle and although everyone will be expecting an easy home win we have nothing to lose and I'm optimistic we can get something from the game. City are awesome going forward but our shaky at the back at times so lets start fast and try to put them under pressure. Get an early goal and who knows! I've not heard any injury news but Maya and I assume Vic are out. Otherwise hopefully MP has a full squad to choose from. I'd go with Boruc Chambers Fonte Lovren Shaw Morgan Cork Davis Adam Jrod Rickie Subs Gazza Clyne Jos JWP Reed Gaston Gallagher The game is live on BT Sport so lets hope we can do ourselves justice and do Liverpool and Chelsea a big favour, COYR!
I am not so sure that everyone will be expecting an easy home win. Saints are a good away side now and i think that it will be a good contest. Really looking forward to it as not been to the Etihad stadium before.
True from my aged memory we have a good record way at City but they have been pretty unstoppable at home. Still think most pundits will have this down as a home banker.
If we score first, City fans will get nervous and this may affect the players. They have got to win this.
Lambie's on a run of 4-0 victory-inducing threads now. Plus, we (almost) always win on live TV nowadays. What could possibly stop us crushing the spineless Sky Blues?
If they have this down as a home banker I would be surprised........As previously said no one will fancy playing us especially this time of the campaign with so much riding on this.
I'm sure City will be up for this...unless they have failed to watch any of our games this season. It is extremely important to them and they will be aware that we are a dangerous side. However, still going for a City win...am prepared to be blasé about this game...lovely to get something, but not going to rend my garments if we don't. I am visiting my elderly friend in Worthing this weekend...the equivalent of entering a sporting black hole. If I'm good she may let me go on the internet to find out the result (after sighing and rolling her eyes) but I won't be able to follow it closely...perhaps a good thing). The Etihad is one of the few grounds I have been to...had a terrific three course meal there in hospitality in our last PL incarnation. We lost 2-1 if I remember correctly. It is so blue that it looks like a swimming pool.
This is going to be a terrific game. W1D1L1 so far in the Premier League. Man City have a lot of respect for us - probably because they came from Div 1 to become a top Premier League side and can relate to the way we are developing. They probably have more quality than us in most areas of the pitch but don't take well to our high pressing game which should even things out a bit. Believe it and we can win.
I have a dream! Frenetic start, 2 early goals for Saints, 60 minutes of unbelievable defending, late breakaway goal scored by Luke! Man City 0 - 3 Sants.
Why don't we just outplay them for that 3-0, rather than all that courageous defending..? With your scenario we'd have to hide Fran in a sealed bunker for 90+ minutes.
I had a dream that the brotherhood of man will become a reality... Genuinely can't see us winning this one, I'm afraid. As long as we put up a good fight and don't capitulate I'll be satisfied.
