So... asking the members of a group to decide what direction the group should take isn't democratic? Right...
Who the hell wants to sit at a boring AGM for 2 hours, when they could be in the pub talking about the game. Plus its a long drive from cardiff
Bloody hell Scarbs, it was hardly a secret... http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...ng-term-plan/story-20221835-detail/story.html
Yes I did. You don't seem to like having words from CTWD analysed, and interpreted in the way the reader wishes to do you? That's almost ironic, except it isn't funny. If there's a need to continue fighting the name change, I see a point in CTWD existing, in fact, as has been suggested and this doesn't go away with the FAs announcement, there will still be a legit need for CTWD. What that release is saying though is, "lets decide if we stay single issue" which is fine, and a simple choice. Yes stay single, No, push forward the idea of the Supporters Trust. However, there is then details about the formation of a much bigger organisation, with committees and sub committees galore, suggesting the previous "poll" of your members is moot, and the decision has been made. Plus, you want to create a vast and sprawling organisation with departments for everything, to basically take over and swallow up an existing trust. Which no doubt also, very amusingly, will be re-branded and presented to the fans as a new thing. Now THAT I am looking forward to. You think? You stated that anyone who isn't a member of CTWD is irrelevant. In much the same way as Dr Allam stated he wanted you to die. See what I did there? Should I apply to be CTWD's communications officer?? Trust + CTWD are 2 things that should never been seen together, just give it up and concentrate on the Co-Op.
Hugs lammy man I might even join a supporters trust if it sounds like a good idea. Stupid to judge when we don't know if its even going to happen Or what the plans are etc
Looks like an opportunity for Happy et al to me. You've had loads to 'say' so now's your opportunity to deliver in your own way. Put yourself forward for election for either CTWD or the CO-OP with your manifesto and see what support you get. Piss or get off the pot, as they say.
Can we put agenda items we want raising on here? If we can, can I ask that a big thank you is given to the people on the committee and others that put in a lot of work to make the campaign a success? With the professional way they've gone about things, they're a credit to themselves, Hull City AFC and the region. Thank you.
There are currently over twenty people involved in decision making at CTWD, this is being cut to seven officers who will make the decisions and nine sub-groups members who will assist them(they may or may not be given the ability to vote on things, that's at the discretion of the officers), but either way, it will be a substantially smaller organisation than it is now. Accordingly, your 'you want to create a vast and sprawling organisation with departments for everything' is utter ****e. I didn't say that anyone was irrelevant, I said a vote on the future of CTWD was irrelevant to anyone who wasn't voting on it.
Whilst The Allams own the club CTWD will be seen as a Luddite faction that held the club back from making progress. Of course that's nonsense but that will be the view that is aired, if not publicly, then certainly privately by them. The continuation of the name will antagonise them - the campaign has served it's purpose so maybe in the best interest of future owner/fan relations it should be disbanded and any excess cash donated to a local charity. That's my view but obviously it's up to the members to decide the direction unless the organisation's constitution dictates otherwise.
I really can't see what the problem is here. Those of us who are members decide through a democratic vote if CTWD continues to exist , and I really hope it does, and if so what direction it takes.Certain people are over complicating things and looking for hidden agendas and conspiracy theories when none exist.
