Morning Everyone, There's a lot of talk about the present team being the worst we have seen in a lonnnngg time. I cannot help but to agree. Take out Ross and Smith (McDermotts only positive contribution to our squad) and we have a team that would not only get relegated from the Championship, but would struggle in league one. If you had told at Christmas that between the New year and April, we were only going to win three games, I would not have believed it. If anyone thinks that i) This is acceptable or ii) The Manager does not deserve to get his cards You need your heads read. Confidence levels have been low since McCormack took the captaincy band. Isn't a skipper supposed to drive you on, keep yer chin up, keep you positive. Give the Captains armband to Pearce or ...... er, urmmmm, ok, Pearce it is then. We hope to speak to some Addicks fans later, to get their take on the game. What is everyone's opinion on Butland? He has picked the ball out of his net more times then Shaks had beer. With Kenny being left out of the squad for the last two games, he's losing fitness. We need to get rid, and quick.... please log in to view this image
Morning all. I am wondering why Butland is here as he is only on loan, can only assume his club are paying his wages?
Morning, Leeds. Glad we didn't get a repeat of the Ross McCormack show when he scored 4 from 4 chances. I didn't go, listened to the commentary. Our commentators thought we deserved to win, and the Leeds commentators said that when Hamer saved the penalty justice was done. TBH in our position I couldn't care less whether we deserved it or not, the 3 points are all that matter. With all the uncertainty surrounding your club's position I'd be surprised if it didn't trickle down to the pitch. Good luck with that, hopefully see you next season.
Morning all. Elland has said it all there, I've nothing to add. I'm all Leedsed out at this point. I only ever started supporting Leeds in 69 for football reasons but were not a football club anymore. On a positive note, sky have signed up our two national Gaa sports for next season. Anyone not seen it before, you're in for a real treat. Amateur sport played at a frantic pace by guys who train four nights a week and hold down day jobs. Might be an eye opener for the likes of the **** that pull on their Leeds jerseys for 20k a week and stand around a training ground for two hours a day and complain
Morning Billy, have not seen the foul. Would be interesting. Wasn't it Poyet that bought our lad down? What were your expectations before the game? Here we go
Morning Leeds fans... thought it had 0-0 written all over it to be frank. Our defence is our strength and didn't think your midfield was going to have enough class to dominate enough to get through... so thought a McCormack wonder goal would be the only way. What I didn't predict (and few Addicks would've done) was Reza producing a strike like that. With the two saves from McCormack I guess Hamer was man of the match, which says just about everything you need to know about the game. Optimistic now about us getting out of it, and can't see you being dragged in assuming you keep the points tally you have, so it was probably just a case of us wanting it a little bit more. Your season feels like it's petering out and you need an owner and a summer to sort it. We need probably another 10-11 points from our games to be safe, including a win at home to the Dingles in a couple of weeks. The close season will probably bring optimism for both of us... no doubt dashed 10 games in!
Good morning from a misty Bardsey Another bad night I do hope the fans persuade BM to fall on his sword as the cost would be too much what were the fans reaction to Hunt last night? Cellino is our one hope to get us out of this nightmare
I'm with Eire as I feel like I don't give a **** anymore. Too many years of this **** and since BMcD took over I haven't seen any football, well since Macca/Grayson days really. Sick of crap players not trying and sick to my back teeth of wheeling and dealing behind the scenes just to fill pockets. The club logo should read 'self before team' I'm almost out of following my club thanks to these clowns
Wasn't at the match. Expected a 0-0 draw at minimum and thought we were playing you at the right time to win. Sounded like you were even worse than Forest were last week. I'm no more confident of survival than I was middle of last week, as many of these points are coming against crap teams in crap form. No offence meant to Leeds as a club, just the current run of form you're in. Thanks for the points. Best of luck for the rest of the season, especially when you play Barnsley, Blackpool and Birmingham.
Didn't have any. Top teams can pass us to death, but otherwise we're stuffy obdurate and hard to beat without having any creativity. So, not having seen Leeds since the 2-4, I was a bit encouraged by your form, but I can never see where we're going to get a goal, 0-0 would have done before the game.
?? If I was nominating you would be getting one for this. Why are you talking to the cafc goalie. Is he your imaginary friend.
2 of the worst sides I have ever seen and neither deserved to score. Kop shouting BORING summed it up. Butland - Few decent saves couldn't do much about the goal Warnock - Didn't do anything wrong but didn't get forward as much as he normally does Pearce - average and majorly outpaced for the goal Lees - terrible never wins headers soft as **** and shouldn't be playing for Leeds Wootton - Didn't have to do a thing of note obviously didn't get forward he's a centre back playing right back Byram - very average scared to take anyone on anymore did nothing of note Tonge - disappointing after second half on saturday, thought he would have a storming game but let down tried to get on ball but no spark from anyone prevented him Mowatt - Terrible, Chasing shadows, Slow outstrengthed offered nothing White - Not bad but his control let him down, really isn't the answer but can't fault his effort Smith - Did decent to be honest not sure why he was taken off Ross - by far his worst game in a Leeds United shirt, didn't look bothered gave the ball away too many times and missed a sitter plus a panalty. Hunt - Thought the lad had his best game for us, got stuck in got hold of the ball won a few headers and tried encouraging the rest of the team Poleon - Did he come on? Brian - struggling to see why he persists with the same tactics which are clearly not working, devoid of ideas.
Morning all Another poor performance, and so it continues. It's a damn good job we picked up a few good points before Christmas because this is dire. As for Butland, I assume its the same situation as Kebe. My understanding of loans is that if we agree to take a player for a set period of time, and to pay any percentage of their wages, unless explicitly stated in the deal we aren't allowed to send them back. It's to prevent a club loaning someone out to free up some of their wage bill and then getting shafted when the other team just sends the player back.
Why did he take Smith off? Why when Poleon came on, did we not give him the ball more than about twice. And most importantly... Why has no-one knocked out the bloke that sits a couple of rows back and to the right of me yet? He's got the most annoying voice and generally talks, sorry shouts, absolute garbage all fkin game. A couple of people have had a word with him so far, I fear if we continue getting beat, eventually so is he going to be.
