Is there any money left in the CTWD wallet to pay for some hand held A4 cards to spell out a giant CITY? It would look great!
It would, but they're a lot more difficult to arrange than you'd think. We've done a couple for work, and the time it takes you to make sure that every card ends up in the right seat is ridiculous. Without having access to either the stand (to place the cards in the right place) or the people (to make sure they understand) beforehand it wuld be nigh on impossible to do.
Plus, hopefully this madness will be over (at least for this season) when the FA say no a few days beforehand. I, for one, am not planning to wear any CTWD merchandise and intend on instead just going back to enjoying watching City.
Why haven't CTWD disbanded since they achieved what they were seeking? I don't want people like OLM pretending to speak on behalf of the fans and having any say in anything.
I don't understand the constant "they don't speak for me" spiel they often get. When have they ever claimed "and Dave from National Ave thinks this too. go on ask him!". They, as a group, believe certain views, who so happen to be city fans. You are allowed to oppose what CTWD think! But if you follow them/"like" them, then generalising a little bit... but you kinda agree with their beliefs/methods.
1) How have they achieved their aim when the decision isn't made by the FA Council until the meeting on 9th April? 2) Even the Allams have said that a no from the FA on 9th April isn't the end of it.
CTWD has always been a City song, so after all this is over it should be sung as the norm. I understand people objecting to singing "we said no Allam". The massive card display would work, but it'll take massive preparation, and there's a match on before City v Sheff Utd.
Oh come on OLM you can do better than that. You are stooping to School Girl/Boy (dont want to be sexist here) type comments. You are usually so good at coming back with really good smug comments. Dissappointed, I feel let down!
Maybe you could be our spokesperson. "Someone's got to stand up to the Allams, their behavior is the same as how drug lords operate? "we saved your arse so you shut the hell up while we do whatever the **** we want" I am not anti-allam but please for the love of god keep an eye half open on what they're up to. I don't dislike them but I'm sick of hearing "they saved us. Are you basically implying that we should all sit down with big grins on our faces because someone has done an incredible gesture and gave us £41 million pounds and we should never question their intent, their motives, their actions because after all "they saved us"? I don't think the Allams will be seen as our saviour for much longer if they keep this attitude up. ... DOn't be lured in a sense of security. They are business men, they don't really "care" like we do. THey need to go, get rid of the cancer asap even if it means struggling next year. I honestly don't know if I want such knee-jerk reacting, football noobies deciding our future." "******" is a slight on ******s. You're a proper window licking turdeater & a two faced hypocritical ****.
Couldn't agree more! OLM likes to be center of attention, I've noticed this over the years of seeing him post on various message boards. CTID can f*ck off for all I care, they've done nothing for our club whatsoever and lets be honest it's down to the FA and I very much doubt they will take any notice of CTID accept for the true hull city supports group and any outcome made by the FA won't have anything to do with CTID. Just a bunch of middle class people thinking they're alan sugar and are superior to the rest of us fans, in fact they are the minority.
We no longer know for certain that the decision will be announced on April 9th, there's a chance it might run on longer and as you quite rightly say, there may be another chapter to this nonsense yet.
You've obviously no idea who makes up the CTWD committee, or indeed that we're called CTWD, or how to spell centre. Was that smug enough for you WSTiger?
There was always going to be another chapter and then another and then . . . . . . the fence sitters will get angry and demand action, look for why CTWD have only won a battle while the War of the Allams goes on. It's all predictable.
We shouldn't drop our songs for tarts like Happy Tiger & Circa because they might have a hissy fit. We said No Allam will be scrapped though- but that's not traditional.
