It's that time of year again, so i have sent this email to the club; I would like to put forward the following suggestions as incentives for the renewal of 2014/15 season tickets; Firstly could the book voucher exchange system be electronically registered/processed on the data base instead of having to visit the ticket office to collect subsequent ticket voucher exchanges, many supporters do not live near the ground and although the office is open on match days, my suggested change would be more convenient. This season I attempted to exchange tickets but i have to go into the office with the correct vouchers before the process is completed. However, considering there is now an id process and you have each ST holders details registered, it would be more helpful to remove the necessity of visiting the office if the ordered/exchanged tickets are requested as being delivered directly to the home address of the ST Holder. So rather than having a paper voucher, an electronic one is processed instead. For example, if you have four friends for a fiver voucher in a book, why not apply that as four tokens on the system. Secondly could there be discounts for the early rounds of the FA Cup for ST Holders, currently the FA apply a minimum £10 charge but clubs may choose to agree a charge in excess of that amount, at this point could a discounted voucher system be applied for any charge in excess of the minimum payment requirement by the FA. Thirdly, many ST Holders do not use the Kids for a Quids vouchers, is it possible to create an incentive where the vouchers could be used to discount something else instead ie £1 off a match day magazine. I agree whole heartedly that STHs should get more value for their money. JPT tickets should be included as the minimum. (No guarentee that we'll play a match at home as we usually go out in the first round but it would surely get the attendance figures up, improve the atmosphere and hopefully that would encourage more to come.) I think all other home cup games should be discounted tbh. But I'm not completely sure how the rules are for ticket pricing in cup games tbh I seem to recall something about pricing home and away equally but I may be(most probably am) wrong. I'm sure that other things could be done but everything else I think of at this time won't really benefit the STH, free tickets etc....
Have always thought there should be a cup voucher in there & you should be able to use it for any cup match (JPT, FA, or League Cup) If we don't have a home tie in any of those 3 then its just unlucky but at least its up to us. Im sure most would use it at the earliest opportunity but a nice crowd in the 1st round of the league cup would make a nice change.
Free hot drink? , Car Sticker? - there are loads of little things that would cost the club very little but would cheer up the hard pressed STH. After last years debacle I would hope the marketing brains at the club will come up with a few sweeteners.
Free entry for Season Ticket Holders for Home Pre-Season friendlies would be nice, last pre-season we had to pay £30 to buy three tickets for £10 because if you only went to two matches you still had to pay £30, if your a Season Ticket Holder you should be able to watch a pre-season friendly for free. I also think that the incentives in your Season Ticket should benefit you as The Season Ticket Holder, free tickets, Friends For A Fiver and Kids For A Quid all benefit someone else, as the club have details from you as a Season Ticket Holder I would like to see the perks actually benefit me, for instance I go to a lot of away games so I would like to see dis-counted tickets or discounts on travel for away matches, If you have got children then who want to come to home games then Kids For A Quid will benefit you and the benefits of being a Season Ticket Holder actually benefit you to your needs.
You would think the club could think of some little gem to offer on a freebie, oh! maybe I should rephrase that.
