He's ok, but he shouldn't be starting with any regularity and certainly not as much as he has been.
Picking him alongside an attacking midfielder/winger in the middle of the park against a side like Liverpool was just stupid.

I take back the <doh> but please realise HIAG is on a big wind up for some reason, I have no idea why he is trying to wind up Spurs fans. And if you think Spurf or any of the mods ban people for criticism, then it is ridiculous.

I played the word "danged" on my scrabble game on my phone this morning. Got about 50 points. Think my opponent is either a kid or developmentally challenged but nonetheless a decent morning.

Punching above our weight usually ends up with the huge clubs snapping up our star players - it's natural for said players to want to prove themselves at the highest level. Because we don't have quality in every position, losing the influential lot damages us hugely and then lower league positions follow.

We are not, and haven't been for years, at the stage where a player would stick two fingers up to Real and say 'nah, I want to play for Spurs'

Power that is poor! I expected more of you not to respond with comments you would associate with HIAG when he's in WUM mode.

It isn't Wumming it's true - Harry has been a manager for years and he's never been more than average. He did well with us but the season we came fourth and didn't qualify for the CL we should have been much better. Mourinho, Wenger or Ferguson would have won the league with that squad.

This is not a criticism of Harry - I've always thought that the manager makes little difference except in a few stand-out cases.

I really hope Liverpool go on and win the league.

They really are a team to admire on and off the ball - passing superb, movement superb, mentality superb, commitment superb. They are everything a team should be, hat off to the Liverpool board and Rogers.

This is what happens when you stick to a plan and keep your best players.

If Liverpool can't win the league, anyone else then that arrogant twat Mourinho - I never ever thought I would say it but I would rather the gooners won the league than that disgrace of a man.

Well Sandro and Dembele weren't fit to start and Capoue and Paulinho didn't even make the bench. Take 4 centre mids out of any team and you're going to struggle. He's a decent player though and I don't think he came out of today look any worse than anyone else.

I wouldn't disagree with that comment but not sure why you have posted that in response to the previous comment as we have been a selling club for a very long time, regardless of if we punch above our weight, or not and if we decide to go down a different route and slowly build a squad with younger talent then as soon as they furfill their potential they will be snapped up and often before we have fulfilled our potential as a team.

Although remember we never lost a star player in four years under Redknapp, Modric was forced to stay and continued to play at a high level so if you're worried about players leaving for bigger things, or leaving before we build a decent team then the way we're currently building a squad will also mean we lose star players, as its likely before they "gel" and match their potential as a team, they will move on.

To be fair even with everyone fit he's still been starting games under Sherwood. That said he hasn't been as bad as people are saying for you from what I've seen. Play anyone alongside Eriksen, Lennon, Sigurdsson & Chadli and they'd be left exposed defensively, especially against the highest goalscorers in the division.

We might as well have just waved a white flag before kick-off. Bloody awful. We should give all of the senior players the rest of the season off as few are interested. We are not going to get relegated so we might as play the Academy Players.

You choose whether to sell based on your ambition, Here's Rodgers's view on Levy and Co

Asked how he now felt about Tottenham's approach in 2012, the Liverpool manager replied: "A close shave. They are a great club and one of the things I looked at was their history. They'd had 11 managers in 18 years there, so for someone like myself, who needed to create something, I needed to go to a club that was going to give us that opportunity."

Rodgers believes Spurs' decision to take a world-record transfer fee for Gareth Bale last summer, at a time when Liverpool refused to sanction the sale of Luis Suárez, was the cause of Villas-Boas' problems this season.

"It's difficult. They have had a good couple of years, they were up there under Harry Redknapp. Obviously there have been difficulties from Bale leaving," he said. "It shows you that when you have someone with that x-factor, sometimes eight, nine or 10 players can't replace that. That was why we fought like tigers to keep Luis Suárez here because he is a top player, he is a performer. There are many good players but very few who perform week in, week out to that level. I am more than happy with the choice I made to come here and hopefully in time it will prove to be the right one.

My view is they chose the short term choice and it has back fired. All hypothetical but if they had kept Bale, added a decent left back, a forward then we might have been challenging for top four or even top. But now we have taken a serious step back..

I'm glad Liverpool has broken the recent top four monopoly (though rather it had been anyone else such as Everton), however they most certainly don't have quality in every position. I am not even sure (and this is going to be very hard to argue after our two games against them) that their squad is any better than ours!
