"I've said before, that I don't blame him for taking the Spurs job; any manager, no matter how incompetent or inexperienced, wouldn't turn down a job at any of the top clubs" I thought he was stepping up for the greater cause. But just looks like Timmy has wangled a good payout come the summer when Spurs finish the PL season as is, and thinks he is better than being a managerial underling to whoever comes next.
The trouble is HIAG we mistrust your motive and your sincerity. There is no problem with posting critisism and I take personal offence as a moderator of this board with comments like that. Especially as I have taken considerable time and effort in backing your case in the past. Enough of this bollocks unless you really want to take me on.
"Nearly all on here thought sacking AVB was right as 'it couldn't get any worse'. It appears it could." It hasn't though. It does show that perhaps the problems this season have not been solely down to AVB dogma.
I agree, I said at the time that it was too soon to sack him and I still believe that. Just because I don't think he should've been sacked it doesn't mean he's blameless and did everything right. Sherwood's no great manager yet he's got a similar level of results, that should tell you something.
Alan Smith's description of Skrtel's management of Soldado seems to have overlooked the fact that what he's pictured is a foul.
in matches like this, which have happened far too many times this season, i find myself wishing for more goals against us in the hope that someone somewhere realises something is badly wrong at the club and does something
I, for one, would put up with a few seasons of boredom for record points totals. And we've had 'humiliating defeats under almost all managers. Sacking any manager after less than 3 seasons is a mistake unless you've got a better one lined up.
Liverpool haven't even had to try today. We've given them 4 goals all on a plate. We've not even tried to expose their own leaky defence. I look forward to Sherwood blaming the players, fans, Liverpool, the clocks going forward and the weather - basically anyone but himself
Wasn't that deliberate by Skrtel on Soldado, he knew he would land on the back of his calf as he came down. That was vicious.
Spurf - the comments that HIAG was responding to were not just aimed at him: you surely aren't suggesting that ANY critical comments should be banned???
No need for more goals or negative wishful thinking like that. Anyone can see our problems clearly. It's whether they have the conviction to act on it is the issue.
That has been consistent from the start. One of the most biased commentaries I have heard for a long time. Trouble is, we did nothing to silence them.
Nobody does everything right. As I've said before getting 55% of decisions right is actually excellent. We've got around the fifth most resources so an average manager should get us fifth.
Im embaressed as a spurs fan. Player for player we could almost equal pool for quality. What we don't have is a proper leader on the pitch, no cohesion, no gameplan.. roll on Van Gaal and his masterplan. We most definitely have the players. We need someone who has a vision and get these players earning their money.
