Rather than buy her flowers just tell her you have put £30 on AALIM at 9-2 to win the Ascot 3.00 and she will love you when it wins!

    If it loses..........blame Stick.........!

The defeat of Dark Dune reads pretty well who has subsequently hacked up in a couple of novice events, but he only beat Kolonel Kirkup 1 & 3/4 lengths on his latest start which doesn't look particularly sparkling. Perhaps the sounder surface and first time blinkers will bring about some improvement and it doesn't look the strongest of races, albeit there may be a few unexposed types lurking in there along with Henderson's Fred Winter Favourite, who is tried in 1st time tongue tie. All told Stick, I think you're probably right and he warrants he place towards the head of the market. The danger for me comes from Gollings' inmate, who has some handy form which ties in with the Triumph Hurdle winner, Tiger Roll and 7th placed Pearl Castle. I'd play the Aalim Win with r/f with Zamoyski. Happy Mothers Day!!

One super size bet today is AALIM 12.55 Catterick. A short price but I think a nice chance to double my money. Beaten FTO by Handiwork who won again yesterday against another Ferguson horse in Royal Skies to boost his chances. Trainer and jockey won this race last year, so for me this will win and at Stanjames 11/8 I'm on.

I really like this horse too, put him up just after Xmas (as mentioned above) and will back again tomorrow.

Let's just take a second to recognise how good David O'Meara is at landing a gamble. His strike rate when the money's down is tremendously impressive.

Well well well , Weld is on fire. Was told his yard was well forward and it look's like they are. Be nice if Balansiya can put up a good performance next.

Two really nice fillies there, Balansiya travelled beautifully but didnt extend on the ground, Bracelet also travelled quite well and her stamina won in the end. Balansiya on better ground and Bracelet over further, both are value for plenty more than the bare form I think.

Afternoon all.still early days in the irish flat season so im taking a watching brief but I cant resist a wee punt on teocht in the last at leps as I think he will be bang on there at the finish & 4/1 seems a decent price.

    Spot on.

I was quite taken by the winner and the big drift in the market indicates there is plenty more to come.Beautifully bred.

The AO'B horses look a bit backward this year so those that oblige first time up are noteworthy.
