I heard somebody say on the radio the other day, probably Talk Sport that Swansea City were the enemy of Cardiff City Football Club. Not true surely? They are not enemy, they are rivals only. I am certain that we all envied their unexpected promotion...I think it is fair to say, with us, the Arsenal of the Championship left behind managerless in their wake. What a difference a day makes eh! I was actually in Swansea the day they were promoted at the Eisteddfod Urdd, and strangely nobody seemed interested in the football that day. A small ripple of applause when a penalty was scored, but by whom I had no idea....you see it was all in Welsh! We have lost some great players, players that we could only ever dream about this last hundred years, but we must move on. The only down side for me is that the Jacks have made a massive move ahead of us financially and have the ability to add top names to their ranks. We hopefully will catch up soon somehow, and look forward to locking horns again. Mind you I will struggle when they will be able to look forward to Manchester United, and we go to Peterborough, no offence intended Minx! Don`t forget to support the annual "Love A Swan Day" this year, and good luck Swans, shame that you are not with us, we could have done with the six points!
dom Everyday is love a swan day. Btw its a proper rivalry and so it should be we are the 2 biggest city's in Wales and long may the rivalry continue. We may be in the premiership but i hope that next year we are both there. and we can continue the derby games, i will as i have always done (after the swans of course) hoped that cardiff get to the promised land and this year will not be any different, i have never had any time for this hate sh*t between some of the fans of both our clubs, at the end of the day we are both welsh clubs and aside of the friendly rivalry and banter we should be hoping both our clubs do well. Cymru am byth
I wish Cardiff success in joining us in the Premier league , its a great honour to be the first Welsh club to get this level of success , and I will certainly take being a fan of 'The best team in Wales' , but I do not begrudge our cousins joining the party at some stage, all be it, a little late
Don't take too long getting up here, I enjoy those Derbies, and will miss them!............. please log in to view this image
