Hi Ricc full, arnie was brilliant, and I thought it was a fantastic team performance. Who do you think Hughes will pick to play in mid-field with Adam and Ireland available?
Hi there HB...welcome. Potts knows Harry B, I think they play bowls together. Seem to remember a thread a.couple of months or so ago Speak later
Personally I would pick the same team, but in the long term Adam is probably just in better form than Ireland, but Ireland played very well against west ham, Its a nice headache for hughes to have.
It will be interesting to see how we line up now. Arnie and Odemwinge have both been in great form on the wings, so it looks like Assaidi will have to fight for his place, and I thought N'Zonzi had a very good game in a more advanced role, but with Adam and Ireland available looks like he'll be dropped back alongside Whelan again. I was really impressed with Odemwingie at the weekend, he does well in his attacking role, but also comes back to help Cameron out when needed. I've always defended Walters' selection for this reason, and we usually look vulnerable down that flank when he's not playing, but I think he'll struggle to get back in the 11 now with Odemwingie tracking back well, and offering far more of an attacking threat than Jon does.
Im going 2 nil to stoke, no disrespect to Hull but we are in fantastic form at the moment and scoring goals for fun. goooooooaaaarrrrrnnn stoke
With our recent form, I think we'll win, 2-0 or 2-1 for me. As Ricc said, no disrespect to Hull, a few weeks ago I'd have said this could be a tough one and I'd be happy with a point, but with confidence high from the last couple of results, I think we've got a good chance of winning.
I fancy a good win - 3-1 and I'm looking forward to an amazing atmosphere. Apparently there will be around 25,000 of us there on Saturday - the most Stoke fans since the Premier league I think I've read
3-2 to us. I think there is a danger of being over-confident ( and that is understandable ) which could see us caught on the break. I just hope we have a sensible , vigilant ref.
I have one of my funny feelings coming on Anyway back to the game tomorrow...they have two big ones up front, no really back to the football. Just the sort of team that we have had trouble against at home in the past. Complacency is exactly the word, so MH has got to guard against that, with a half time talk before the game starts 'cmyruy vladivostok blodwyh, aberwrystwith ye bastards ye', roughly translated, don't get complacent ye bastards ye. 3-1 Stoke. Off for a lie down, byeeee
I think this will be tougher than we think, and after the 0-0 away result earlier this season it could be similar. For me they are struggling and will come for a point, so I will be happy with a clean sheet - anything else is a bonus for me.
Let's go for a 2-1 win, we are at home, are in good form so ought to win. However, my usual pessimism says we may have to settle for a draw as Hull will be desperate to get something from the game. There should be a cracking atmosphere at the Brit tomorrow and if we go for it from the off we should win.
Knowing Stoke we`ll probably have `one of those days`(think Norwich @ home!!) . Hope not, but I`ll be amazed if we can manage 3 wins in a row,so I`ll say 1-1.,but don`t worry I`m usually wrong!
I think dull are there for the taking if we win this safe simple as then we can go to Chelsea and attack attack attack and lose.
We should have had at least a point against West Ham, like you said you are in good form, and we are playing decent football as well. I'm going for a hard fought 1-1 would do us no harm. Should be safe anyway and after the following week can look forward to our continued FA Cup adventure.
