Because Toure has worked out so well. That's the only sort of role I could see him having. And that 'Exclusive' from the Star, I think they've hired George RR Martin to write their footy articles.
indeed... most of f'n chavs have no clue that falgs don't grow and seats midweek for european games so how the f would they know the guy is just weak assed on the left?
I wouldn't mind Cole at the right price - he's on mega wages which are far too much. He's still a quality left back and his experience can be crucial. However, I rather we find the next best thing and there are some young quality full backs in the market, and at better value.
When we signed Toure I said at the time he was past it and we should not be taking players out for their last payday. I have the same view about Cole, he has hardly played for Chelsea this season.
James Pearce‏@JamesPearceEcho·18 mins #LFC baffled by reports suggesting they will make a move for Ashley Cole this summer. Sounds like an agent trying to drum up interest.
I would take him, his experience is vast. He will be able to lead some of the youngsters, toure will be gone so who do we have left in defence. So as long as wages right - yeah no problem, cheers CFC
Can't imagine the wages will be 'right'. Cost us a fortune in wages this year when we gave him a 1 year extension last season. If he really is 'cashley' he could go to America and earn bucket loads. I still think he's top quality and not sure why he was originally dropped in place of a right back. But Azpil has been one of our best players this year so Jose does it again
