Don't want to second guess how our game will pan out but as we're playing on Sunday, am hoping that either City or Chelsea (or both) will drop points in tricky games to give us that little bit more of an incentive on Sunday! Chelsea play Palace and we know that they'll be set up to sit behind the ball and will be tough to break down and City play an Arsenal who now have Everton breathing down their necks for fourth. have a feeling one of Chelsea or City will drop points this weekend. Here's hoping!
Everything seems to point to a home win on the weekend. Which makes me very wary. I think it's like one of those "It's quiet, perhaps too quiet!" moments in cheesy movies. I hope I'm wrong and we play to form, but I think the last several years are playing on my mind and I'm now incapable of expecting us to win games we perhaps should, even this season! Hopefully, SAS continue to score. I really would like them to beat the highest tally for a strike partnership in the premiership. I also would love Suarez to further annoy his detractors by equalling or beating Cole's record goal tally. Come on you redmen!
chelsea will hammer palace probably 8 times out of 10? then 1/10 is a narrow win and the other is the freak result City playing arsenal is a small hope for me. I am hoping arsenal can draw it... if they do when the league is in our hands for at least 24 hours... which will be a nice feeling as long as it lasts
OptaJoe on Twitter: Liverpool v Tottenham has seen more own goals than any other fixture in Premier League history - eight.
BR played a 433 at WHL. I think he will go 433 again, but with the Everton & Arsenal team formation. At WHL: -------Lucas---------- ---Allen---Hendo------ -Sterling--Suarez--Cout
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers responds to comments made by Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood that the Reds may struggle with the pressure of being in the title race when the teams meet at Anfield. "There was no expectation on us being where we are so there's certainly no pressure on ourselves," says Rodgers. "I suspect teams like Tottenham were expecting to challenge for the league this season. "If you spend £100m you probably expect to challenge. I thought we showed there was no pressure the other night against Sunderland. We showed we can win in a different way and managed the game to see out a result. So there's certainly no pressure."

I think the early going is the big worry for us. I can at least hope that since it's the other team with a midweek game for once, we'll do better as the game goes on. It would be awesome if he both flattens Dowd and gives away a goal again. I've got to say that hit on Dowd doesn't look accidental.
Not really, seeing as Spurs ended the Summer with over £6,000,000 more in their bank account than they started with... please log in to view this image Tottenham Hotspur Player Transfer History & Statistics 1908-2014
And if you win £10m on the lottery and at the end of the year you have nothing to show for it but £1k in the bank you have still done well
What has the above got to do with anything? So you have the rump of the Bale money in your accounts (supposedly). The response from BR was to the challenge from Sherwood that we would be under pressure whilst Spurs are not. That is just ridiculous!. Your club has failed to achieve its targets despite the signings you made with the Bale money. Whereas we have 8 games in which to secure our prime target of a top 4 finish PLUS the possibility of a crack at winning the title. Now you may hope that you signings perform better for you next season but you cannot guarantee it plus you have no more Bales to sell. Therefore we have to consider the effectiveness of the spend. We can point to actual success whereas you are staring at relative failure. Finally £6 million will not buy you a good squad player in today's market. Sounds to me more like Sherwood is the manager under pressure.
