Ki was dropped along with Colback as they were piss poor against Norwich. Ki has even come out and practically said he needed to be dropped. AJ was purely tactically. We were playing 5 along the back and 2 up front, with the full backs meant to push forward - just no space for wingers in that formation. Reckon we would have done much better in the 1st half (in attack) if Alonso had been playing instead of Dossena.
I think Dossana did ok, one of the few sunderland players who didn't finish in minus figures on Squarka, not spectacular like but solid.
