Rodgers has performed miracles this season but this may be a step too far for the manager.

Not a ****ing chance Brendan. <laugh>

Very odd atmosphere last night (assessed from my armchair position, admittedly), anyone at the game? what was it like for you? For all the apparent European buzz beforehand, the fans during the game seemed as flat and quiet as some of our play! You'd have thought everyone would be in full song, even during the 0-0 period. Guess everyone's getting altitude sickness at this point :p

Don't know how it came across on the telly mate but it was buzzing most of the match (not like the ol' days of course). Certainly more traditional midweek than silent Saturday.

I think PMK and Billy were there.
We've been warning against complacency when playing "lesser" teams, but with the finishing post in sight I don't think that's an issue at all.
I think we're all, fans and players alike, getting a bit nervous being so close.

Yea - palpable change in atmosphere last night. The realisation of how important it is not to slip up is hitting home.

But still we win. 3 points. All of them. None dropped.

And we move on. 7 left. We can't win them all they say. I say **** 'them' - we can win them all. It's on. We are that good. I can't see City or Chelsea looking forward to their trip to Anfield?

Bring them on. Bring the fight.

    We are ready.

The atmosphere was what it was - a reflection of many things, anxiety, hope, slight bewilderment at our uncommon lack of resourcefulness in the last third... In any case, an attentive concerned knowledgeable atmosphere... never a problem, always an inspiration.

    Regarding the game...

We were very good in defence and midfield the first hour. Maybe too good there. As there was plenty of missed opportunity from midfielders and defenders to do runs into their box, pressuring them higher up, seeing also that Suarez didn't have his shooting boots on and couldn't unlock them on his own.

Maybe they got some bollocking by Rodgers for defending loosely at Cardiff and were anxious to put up a better defensive display. That's good for a start, but as the game begins to show a pattern, they should have ventured up in greater numbers. Hendo, Flano, Allen, Gerrard & the CBs - stayed too far back for my taste.
