With Jose, you would challenge next season (not necessarily win) especially 'doing a Liverpool' and only challenging on one front.

There is a lot of talent in your squad still

At least with BR we knew there was a plan and a philosophy, Moyes has no plan and no philosophy, he's such an old -school manager, yet he's younger than Mourinho! You won't even begin your transition until you sack him. Just as Woy wasn't right for us, Moyes isn't right for you. But I do hope you keep him<ok>

Rodgers 'philosophy' is tikitaka and he did **** all with it in his first season, he's now binned it off in favour of 'hit the front man'.

Kopites gave Rodgers time, so you're being hypocritical

His first half a season to be fair and you're right that it was going nowhere but shouldn't a good manager adapt to his situation and not expect everyone else to adapt to him. We've improved massively since Coutinho and Sturridge signed last Jan <ok> So what you see in our tactics is only "hit the front man" eh Tobias <laugh> You do know how to raise a wry smile amongst us Reds.....get your arse back to our board you total tart (it'll be like you've never been away eh <whistle>). You can stop hiding now you're lot are back in the race for fourth, I know we kicked your arse at Anfield but I won't mention it if you come back..........honest.

As for this being the worst United team ever. Yes I'd say it is.

    No.

This is a Man Utd team lacking a leader. Nothing more.

The Sturridge signing is what changed his fortunes at Anfield mate. I think Coutinho is overated by Reds btw, tidy player but his impact hasn't been all that imo.

Gerrard wasn't having the tikitaka from what I've heard and he started playing the longer ball, with the pace of Sturridge alongside the guile and quality of Suarez, it made sense to get them in the game early and look to turn defences, so he arrived at your current style via Gerrard and whoever made the decision to sign Sturridge. I still think he's full of **** mate <laugh>

Worse United team ever? nah, but last nights' team selection and tactics from Moyes, was the worst I've seen in living memory. That was dire.

    Absolutely!!

You were quite right too stating that Mata and Fellaini are not fit to be wearing the Man Utd shirt. One should bear in mind that both were brought in by that pitiful excuse for a top manager Moyes.

We often see on this forum statements such as 'give him time', but anyone in agreement should look at the facts. Thousands of fans disillusioned by this season's lowest points total, fewest goals, more defeats, worst home record etc etc than for many years.
It takes only one rotten apple in a barrel to make the rest inedible and that rotten apple is Moyes.

Rio's legs have defo gone mate, he was shocking last night.

I never got plaudits that Cleverley got a while back, everytime I've seen him, he's been total mince.

Giggs should have started last night

Positives are hard to find from the display last night, but IMHO, Rooney, Welbeck and Raphael stood out for effort alone.
Apart from the opening 10 minutes, Untd did not do badly in the first half and might have made a match of it had first Fellaini and then Mata not missed perfectly good opportunities to score.
Thereafter, although Welbeck's effort deserved a better fate, it was only a matter of time before City sealed all three points.

The one hope I cling to is that this will be another nail in Moyes' coffin.

The mad thing is, as **** as Cleverly was we were actually worse when he went off. Kagawa made absolutely **** all impact at all. Other than to leave even more massive holes in our midfield. We played quite well for the final half hour of the first half but were utterly **** after half time. (not saying it was Kagawa's fault either)

Fletcher would have been the better call there.

As for Ferdinand, the slow mo of him staring at the ball in the air as Djezko lost him and stole in for the second goal was telling. Dreadful.
Did Moyes make him **** though? No, he didn't. It's because he's now ****ed and way too far over the hill. This applies to one or two others also.

I'm not exempting Moyes, the job is clearly beyond him and the sooner he goes the better, but the squad DOES need reinforcement and refreshment. It just does, it's ****ing obvious.

Moyes picked him though mate, he must realise he's lead legged these days?

You do need to strengthen in key areas, but even with what you've got Moyes should have done far better than he has imo.

Kagawa is not a centre mid though. We ended up with 1 midfielder. No wonder City barely got out of first gear yet battered us. No potency in attack because our best striker is in midfield and no midfield at all because they are all ****e.

United definitely had worse sides since 63, this squad just won the PL and has bags of internationals and a few CL winners.

The performances are ****e but the squad is by far not the worst

We've been told that Terry's legs have gone for the past few seasons, but that doesn't stop him showing some leadership and desire. Rio just looks as if he can't be bothered. The fact that this is the same team that won the league last season just proves that Moyes is the problem, no tactical awareness, and the players just don't want to play for him.

That's what I mean about you always raising a smile  I like the way you just make it up as you go along...we've got a new poster on our board who does exactly the same thing too.......plus he can argue with Dave all day without taking breath <whistle> Personally I'd take a look back at the Coutinho through balls that kept slicing open your back four every two minutes and reconsider what you just wrote (somehow I suspect you won't though).

As for this united being the worst ever well I consider the manager to be part of "the team". Are they the worst players ever wasn't the question because that would be a no (although I can't see many in uniteds past being rated lower than Cleverley) but as a group of players who suit a manager they are certainly the biggest mismatch in decades. It will take Sir David most of his 6 year contract to get it right I'd suggest <ok>

He's scored the same number of goals as Deulofeu with only 3 more assists, despite having 3 times the game time. Over rated by kopites big time, but what's new.....<whistle>

I notice you didn't argue like, just said I was making it up.....haha you know I'm ****ing spot on really <laugh>

I don't think he had an alternative last night.

It was either that or stick Carrick there again.
