It appears the United fans have finally realised Moyes isn't the right man and have identified Fergie as the one to blame for appointing him Stewards had to protect him from the crowd apparently. Have a look on the link below. Is this the end for Moyes now? Or even the end for Fergie? (Thread shamelessly stolen from Math ) http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manchester-united-fans-turn-sir-3286205
Yeah but they are blaming him for the wrong reasons!! Shouldn't be blaming him for suggesting Moyes, they should be blaming him for leaving behind a squad severely lacking in quality. Everyone knows they've not had a decent midfield for 4 years or so and had to get Scholes out of retirement to try and paper over the cracks.
I love the fact Moyes stated in the post match conference that United were aspiring to City!!! Legend David Moyes. Absolute legend!!
Dopey Dave accepts the blame. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26742897 Talking himself out of a job. #blamefergie
I don't really get the "its Fergie's fault" arguments. If I quit a job I certainly won't be making sure my employer has all the tools to continue without me in the future. I don't sit there and do a full months work without getting paid because they may be screwed over when I leave. Who is to say Fergie didn't tell Moyes what he needed to improve on? If Fergie goes out and buys a new squad to pass on to his successor, that next manager is going to have no say on player style or playing style. Did Fergie leave a poor and aging squad? Yes. Is that to blame for United's predicament? Partly, but only because Moyes ****ed up two transfer windows.
He left them a squad that had just lifted the Prem trophy. There is more than they are showing about them somewhere but Moyes can't unlock it
Football management is not just "a job" though- at least not for many. If he had an affinity with the club and its fans, then he certainly should want to leave them in a healthy position after he left.
Fergie picked Moyes though He also left him with Smalling, Jones, Cleverley etc who he'd conned into believing were half decent and other tools (Rio, Giggs, Vidic, Van Pee) that are now so old they fell apart as soon as Moyes picked them up. Fergie knew everything he was doing was just delaying the inevitable and passed the poison chalice on once he realised he couldn't keep papering over the cracks any longer. Moyes was a dead man walking from the day he took the job.
AND everyone but mancs knew it. they were told. they were laughed at. there are being laughed at more now than ever. AND until they kick the arrogance out and accept the reality of where they are they can't get back where they THINK they are/should be right now. reality is they were not going to be 1st/2nd this year even if ferguson stayed... reality is no matter if ferugson stayed CL win was not on. they STILL think they've a chance of winning the thing now... its nuts.
Moyes will not be their manager next season, I will put money on it.. I have a bet on with a lad in work for the top 4 teams come the end of the season We agreed it doesnt have to be in specific order Mine Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal His Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea Nice 50 quid coming my way soon enough
Fergie apparently loved the club though and would no doubt have wanted to see it go from strength to strength even after he left. Why wouldn't he want to leave it as strong as he could for the next man? Football management isn't a job like any other office job, not when you're so committed to the club.
