He had a really good game tonight. Bar one instance where he was slow to claim a ball which caused confusion. Saved us at the end too.
That's fair enough but that's the same if you're in the crowd. You've only got one position to watch the game! Your stream was very good tonight Rhino. I think you might be finding some form at just the right time along with the team
The bet365 stream had only small picture but i get that impression that the ref was not favourable for us?
Why will we avoid Derby? Wigan are 4 points behind them with a game in hand. Wigan despite tonight are still the form team out of the playoff hopefuls. Derby have won 1 game in 6.
Col, I'm just off the oxford road near central swimming pool. Just heard a couple of reading fans saying they aren't worried cos it looks like they'll play us in the playoffs and reckon they will batter us. God I was tempted to say something. Jokers. LOL.
Looks very much like the 4 teams in 3rd to 6th now, will be the play off teams to me. Us, Derby, Wigan and Reading. I'm hoping the outsiders Bournemouth keep moving up and surprise by edging Reading out - I don't fancy Reading in the play-offs one bit. But then I wouldn't like Bournemouth either -we meet them soon I think.
I looked at their fixtures for the run in and thought they actually have a somewhat easy set of games. The same goes for Leicester. We've got a harder run in, especially seeing as we're inconsistent at the moment.
Don't think Reading will make it, Ipswich and Brighton look in better form. Don't really care who we get in the semis as long as we have home advantage in the second leg. But I definitely don't want Wigan in the final, they have plenty of Wembley experience which is invaluable. And they will get more against Arsenal soon.
Looking at the table and fixtures Let us not give up hope as Wigan will do a load of damage to team around us as will Ipswich IMO Foxes win on Sat now and a win for us it's down to 7 and then 4 when Wigan beat Burnley It's still on lads Right to last possibility May even make the Blackpool game
Wigan will go 4th if they overtake derby and will still play them. If they overtake us, we will have to drop to 6th to play them.
The only problem with playing reading will be the red cards we get, one is guaranteed every game. Also, well done to rob green, he made proper saves today, several of them where he had to move like the one at the death.
A vital and hard-fought win. Wigan are probably the best 'team' in the division so that was a huge result for us. We now cannot afford to drop a single point if we have ambitions of catching Burnley, they have some tough matches and were they to 'wobble' we have to be there to take advantage, it's a long shot as they've only lost three in 38 games but pressure can do funny things. I hope we don't go into the Blackpool game thinking we've won before the kick-off, we need the same mentality for that game as the Wigan game and we could fill our boots...
Too true. They have these eight games left: Leicester (h) Watford (a) Barnsley (a) Mid’s (h) Blackpool (a) Wigan (h) Ipswich (h) Reading (a) If we go on a run we could pull in the ten points: It's only three defeats and a draw!
I admire the optimism but if we, by some miracle, got 20 more points (6 wins & 2 draws), I can't see them getting only nine which is what would be required. Realistically we might cut the gap by a couple, no more.
The manager of my lad's football team is a Reading fan, as are a number of the players. He is surrounded by them at school too. I don't think either of us could go outside ever again if they were to knock us out, or God forbid, beat us at Wembley!! (His manager has been telling us all season that Reading will beat us in the play off final and I've had this nightmare running through my mind ever since!!).
Ah but think of how it will feel if we beat them at wembley and watching them eat their humble pie. Just trying to put a positive spin on it for you.
